How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Very close to the cable cars. Free parking. Very nice breakfast especially being about to make your own juice.

Quite a long way from town with a good bus service. This only runs until 6.00pm and it's over a mile uphill if you miss it. Would have been nice to have had a mini fridge in the room as there wasn't a balcony to keep the beers cold!
Excellent breakfast spread, almost too much to chose from. Good access to ski lift. Good facilities for ski storage.

The room would sometimes smell of smoke, and the ski bus into town didn’t run after 6.20pm which left us with a long walk every evening, although on the timetable said it did during the summer months.
Great location to walk to the lifts in the morning. Nice Saunas in the spa area. Good morning breakfast also, and friendly staff.

The bedroom had a smell of cigarettes when we arrived.
The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. We received a summer pass for our stay which included free lifts up the mountain at Zell Am See and at nearby Kitzsteinhorn. This was an unexpected gift that we enjoyed very much. The staff were very friendly and spoke good English.

The bathroom fan was incredibly loud when you turned on light. Breakfast could've had a bit more options, but what was available was pretty alright.
Great place, definitely worth the price. Nice staff, clean room and decent breakfast. Close to the gondolas for the mountain, a bit of a walk downtown.

Breakfast was very good. The location from the cable lift was more than 100 meters away, but it was still very close, even closer than some of the parking spaces below. Friendly staff and very warm and clean rooms. Good value for money.

The hotel was a bit hard to find, and when we arrived nobody was there. Finally someone from the hotel nearby helped us and we stayed in the hotel nearby which was great. I think that the hotel nearby (Der Schmittenhof) operates this one when they are fully booked. Everything else was great besides the arrival.
Everything except the check in - breakfast, the room and stuff were great!

My daughter and I stayed here for 4 nights whilst enjoying a ski holiday. Everything was perfect. The room was cozy, clean and spacious. The staff were warm, welcoming and helped woth everything we needed.

Sauna has limited open hours. Rooms felt a little too bright…but that’s just a matter of taste.
Breakfast was perfect. Nice variety I was able to have something different everyday. Fresh juices, teas, spreads, etc etc. Hot coffee already waiting for you at the table ☕️ staff were very friendly and the dinner I had was amazing, reasonable portions. Rooms pretty sound proof too :)

The staff were really welcoming and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Location was close to the ski lift, which worked really well for us. There is also a lovely spa and a great choice at breakfast.

Great please for a budget stay in the hills. The bed is comfy, the bathroom is clean. You need car or you should take a bus to get to the lake and the Altstadt.

The location was excellent. Very close to the lift and equipment rental store and you can also get a ski pass at the hotel. The place has several parkings, very nice and neat. The restaurant is amazing, we took breakfast and dinner and it was great! Breakfast is very varied, you'll find so many things to your taste. And the dinner was just delicious, great service, wonderful food!!! Moreover there's a small spa at the hotel and after being tired from skiing you can rest there and use saunas and hammam to relax the mind and muscles, it was so good! We'll definitely come again!!! Many thanks to our hosts :)

We did not get value for our money - our 4 person-rooms were very expensive but in bad conditions. We lived in the bungalow (with one of the rooms overlooking the parking- lot), no kitchen, no livingroom area, things did not work properly and the furniture was old and broke. These rooms did not live up to our expectations at all.
We liked the breakfast, the location and the staff was nice and helpfull
