There is no off-street parking available, and legal spots are difficult to find on the crowded, narrow streets around the Pension Lehrerhaus. On our most recent stay we got a parking ticket within the 10 minutes we had parked in what seemed like a legitimate zone while going in to check in at the reception desk, and we spent half of the next morning trying to figure out how and where to pay the 36 Euro fine. My recommendation is not to drive there at all. It's a real hassle! The public transportation in Vienna is superb, and you won't need a car while you're in the city.

The Lehrerhaus is well situated to downtown Vienna, just a 10-15 minute walk from the Ringstrasse or a short tram ride away from the major cultural/historical sites of the city. My wife and I have stayed there on many occasions over the past 30 years, and view it as our home away from home. No breakfast is offered, but you can easily shop for food at the corner grocery store just a 2 minute walk down the street, and then fix breakfast or lunch for yourself in the designated breakfast room which comes equipped with a refrigerator for your use.

• It would be nice to have an air conditioner in the room instead of the ventilator during the hot days in Vienna. • There wasn't any posibility to prepare a snack or coffee or tea apart the hours that the reception was open (from 8 to 18). Even than the dining room doesn't have any coffee or tea bags apart the coffee machine for 1,5€ a cup. So you have to bring everything with you or to buy in the local shops. • There isn't any sink with running water in the dinning room where you can wash your hands or rinse your vegetables before the meal.

I wish the bathroom was private. There were two bathrooms on the hall for several rooms. The bathrooms were clean, however, and the shower was private, more or less: it was in the room and had transparent walls, which could turn into an impediment if one traveled with a coworker.

Best location one could ask for; perfect for quickly visiting the center of Vienna while in transit.

It was difficult getting to and from my room, so many heavy doors and unlocking of doors. Even though I got an upgrade, my room was smaller than a prison cell. There was no chair so unfortunately I could only sit on my bed to relax. The room stayed hot even though it was cold outside

Very helpful staff. Good location with plenty of food options and supermarket nearby. Quiet room without disturbance. Vienna is an expensive city, so I think this hotel was good value for money. Grateful for the upgrade with a shower.

This is a very good price/quality pension. We enjoyed our stay here, simple room, but nice and clear. And for us was a big surprise, that the receptionist girl spoke hungarian, and can give a lot of advice in our language what to do and what to see, where to eat in the city. Higly recommend 😀

To my absolute shock, the shower was literally in the bedroom, basically right next to the bed. This was not at all clear from the photos, very misleading. Otherwise, no complaints!

Great location. Restaurants, coffee shop and supermarket all within 2 minutes walk. Easy to get to from the train station - only had to take one bus and then walk a few minutes. Bed was comfortable. There was a fan which was great in the hot weather! Little communal fridge out in the corridor was very handy.

With these prices you would hope for a little bit more, even a kettle would be a very useful. Would also hope for a safe, for passports and such. Felt a bit uneasy about leaving things in the room unattended, and had to carry a lot of stuff around during the day.

The room was super nice, high ceiling, wood floors, was quiet enough. It was nice that the room was cleaned every day and it was done quite nicely.

Lovely old building. Great location near 13A bus stop (direct from hbf) and Rathaus area. Film Festival was on during my visit so that was an extra perk on the doorstep. Staff very friendly and receptionist couldn't have been more helpful. Room had everything you'd need including hairdryer and fan. Plenty of shower rooms/toilets - never had to queue. Breakfast room with toaster, kettle etc was also very welcome.

I had a long layover between my flights so I took the hotel to take a little rest. It is close to metro station, was clean and comfortable. The room was small (as I was expecting), but had a clean bed and bathroom. Nice staff, I would recommend this place.

The Interior is a little shabby and needs renovation. And the cleaning should be improved - we found hairs in the shower and on the couch.

Great location, close to all must-see places. Check-out time at 11.00 was convenient for us. The lady at the reception was friendly.

It was very, very hot in our room, and while we appreciate why there couldn't be a full-on AC unit, more than one small fan would've definitely helped, especially when one of our party developed a heat rash.

The hotel is in a great location, with super friendly staff and clean facilities. We felt very safe in our room, which was very important to us on our one-day excursion from school! It was great that we were able to have 3 people in our room and everyone had a bed to sleep on! Finally, the bathroom was very spacious, which was a great bonus.

It is a nice location and very quiet but quite convenient as well. They were very helpful with suggestions and booking extra nights when our flights were canceled repeatedly. There were shared refrigerators on each floor and in the reception area. The cost was relatively low.
