The location is very pleasant, perfect to walk around the old town area. The owners are helpful and friendly. Parking was convenient. The breakfast was very tasty with lots of fresh fruit and delicious coffee and even better views.

Our only complaint was the fact that the narrow roads prevented our driver from dropping us off near the hotel. We ended up lugging our heavy bags 200 meters up a pretty steep hill to get to the property.

A truly unique historic property with comfortable rooms, a welcoming staff, and an excellent breakfast. Our host served breakfast 30 minutes early to accommodate our schedule.

I can't think of a thing.

I liked that the hotel is in a very old building. I think that adds a lot of character. The hotel's owners were very friendly and engaged with the guests, and look after the guests like family. They really enjoy what they do, and that is very infectious.

The shower wasn't easy to operate.

This beautifully restored historic, charming hotel is perfectly located with a wonderful view from the terrace. Breakfast was excellent - fresh local produce. The owners are very friendly, lovely local people.

The bed was a bit too firm for my taste ( I realise this is very individual) and the shower screen needed maintenance/ replacement.

Hera was a charming hotel run with much love by a well travelled, lovely, cosmopolitan family. There were lots of thoughtful touches like power boards for charging phones and carrying our bags upstairs and safe parking. The team recommended and organised an excellent guide for the Acropolis as well. Breakfast was excellent with the best figs I have ever had in my life. The views from our balcony and the breakfast terrace were fantastic. The team also gave very clear directions on how to get to the hotel beforehand - another great example of the thoughtfulness of the owners.

Please follow directions provided by the hotel rather than your GPS. GPS takes you through narrow alleys not suited for cars.

A beautiful old Greek house converted into a small hotel. Located in a mostly residential area close to the center and acropolis. Good personalized service. Excellent breakfast.

Really nothing to complain about.

The owner of the hotel was super useful. He speaks English fluently and gave us good advice. He even picked us up from the bus stop and then drove us to the Asclepion.

What the reviews say are true, you must go with your hosts directions and not Google as your car will certainly not fit through the small ancient lane recommended! Go past and over the bridge by the mosque and follow the hotel signs and you will come right!

It was a beautiful sanctuary with lovely views of the Acropolis and town. Our hosts were lovely. Upgraded the room as we were staying two nights and lifted us to the Asklepion, which was very thoughtful considering it was market day and we would have struggled! Breakfast was lovely and sleep was very comfortable in quiet location in old part of town

The only downside is only if you have a big car to get to the hotel. The road is not very large-sized car friendly.

The old city is a bit abandoned and even dirty but overall it is in an excellent position, so you can easily reach the various monuments on foot.

The very nice room, solid wood furniture, large and very comfortable bed, well finished and large bathroom. Abundant breakfast and courteous staff to our every request.The parking lot is 50 meters away.

Nothing not to like here except perhaps the absence of tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The staff were more than happy to make tea for us though and provided glass bottles water so this really is just nit picking!

This hotel had bags of character and charm. The air-conditioner kept us lovely and cool in the hottest part of the day and breakfast was divine! The view from the elevated breakfast room was lovely. Our hosts were super friendly and justifiably proud of their beautifully and traditionally renovated hotel. There were several restaurants within easy walking distance and Pergamon was not too far away.

We've been warned but nevertheless committed the same error - if you are arriving with the car, don't go through the first bridge, this street is too narrow for the cars (returning back was a real nightmare). The room itself (we had Hera room, which is called Superior Double Room here) is very tastefully decorated and the bathroom will surely surprise you. However, it is much smaller than indicated on the room description - maybe some 20 sq m, but surely not 30 sq m. By the way, only two rooms (Hera and Zeus) have the views to the city, the other rooms are located on the first floor and open up to the garden.

A real gem in our journey through Turkey. The hotel is a renovated some 300-year old house located on the upper part of the old town with a breathtaking view over the city. Tastefully decorated, with its own patio and even a wine-cellar (they offer some bottles for sale, too). The hotel is run by a very elegant old couple, very interesting to talk to. Bergama would probably remain one of the best memories from our trip thanks to the charm of this place.

Excellent hospitality! Everything was perfect. Only comment is the narrow streets to get to the hotel if you follow the GPS. Make sure to take the 2nd bridge and follow the Hera Hotel signs and you will have no problems.

The breakfast was good. They made eggs to order. Location was excellent. Easy walking access to all main tourist sites. The hotel team did an amazing job going above and beyond to help us with our visit. We would certainly stay here again and would highly recommend it to all other travelers.
