Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandVoices were heard at night, the staff does not work 24 hours a day and the furniture itself is quite old.
I liked the location of the hotel, very close to all important attractions. The staff was friendly and spoke Russian/Ukrainian. The hotel is equipped with an antique elevator and antique things - it made you feel like you were in the last century. In the room there was a refrigerator. The hotel provided a discount on parking.

The room was clean and comfortable. It was a big room with high ceilings. The decoration was old school themed. Everything worked. Location was good as well. The staff were very helpful. We enjoyed it

GreeceThe hotel is very cosy with old-style furniture that makes you feel like being in the early 20th century in the Austrian Empire. The room is clean , although a bit small. But it's ok for a family with two children. The location is great. In 30' minutes walk you can reach almost everything in the center (St. Stephen, Opera, Parliament, Rathaus etc.). It's value for money.

United StatesMy only complaint was with the shower. Just when I felt I had the water temperature set to my liking, temperature would fluctuate between scalding hot to ice cold. I was there six nights and finally gave up running the water during my entire shower and just turned it on and off as absolutely required. Maybe it is their way of forcing us to be eco-friendly. I mentioned it to the staff but nothing changed. Old building with old pipes.
The location was excellent with easy access to the trams and bus. The room itself was well appointed and very comfortable. The staff were welcoming and helpful getting a taxi to the airport. A number of convenient restaurants in the immediate area. Everyone should check out the Kleines Cafe around the corner; great breakfast and great staff.

United KingdomThe only issue I had was the lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room which are a must on a windy rainy day when you just wish to stay in the room and read etc. Tea and coffee was available from reception at a cost and as I stated not really a practical alternative to facilities in the room.
The room was spotless and cleaned on a daily basis.

United StatesOddly arranged furniture in room. An actual desk was in the booking photo (which I counted on) but only a small round bistro table was in the room.
Food stores, restaurants, pharmacy and Tram within walking distance. Safe neighborhood. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean room.

UkraineThe breakfast is good, but the price is a bit overpriced. There are no sockets near the bed, no cutlery. The drain in the bathroom was not working well. A tram passes under the windows. Perhaps, we will come to the plant for those for whom silence at night is important
Everything was fine, in the center, there is a free parking lot, for which the hotel offers a 30% discount. The staff is very friendly.

United KingdomThe reception is only until 2200. I stayed there for 2 days but they did not clean the room but they arranged the bed. I wish they cleaned the floor. They did not changed the towels as I requested. Toilet is small but does the work. Room is kinda noisy even thought it’s double glazed but not that loud. In acceptable volume.
15 minutes walk to the road ring. Less than 5 minutes walk to tram and bus. Plenty of restaurants around the area. 30 minutes bus ride to vienna central station. Room is massive. With heater, fridge, TV and electric fan. The fan is noisy.

United KingdomThe room needed additional cleaning as the fridge was dusty, under the bed needed cleaning too (I only know this as I dropped something under there and happened to look.) The rest of the room was however, very clean, including the bathroom. The breakfast was expensive so we didn’t eat at the hotel - if it was priced at 10 euros, it would be more competitive.
Staff were friendly and helped with any requests. Room facilities were as advertised - toiletries provided in bathroom, rooms were made up daily. There were no extras like in other hotels, such as a safe, kettle etc but these were not advertised either. Even so, I requested one and it was provided (kettle). The location was great for me, easily accessible to city centre by public transport. Room was very spacious. Cheaper than most other hotels in Vienna.

South AfricaIt took about half an hour on public transport to get to most places and felt a little bit out of the way. Although, Vienna is very busy city so it was nice staying in a slightly quieter area. The city is also quite spread out so it wasn’t an unreasonable amount of time to get to the main sights.
Comfortable, spacious, clean room. More than enough space for 3 people. The bathroom was modern and clean. The shower was a bit small but you could adjust the height of the shower head. We were able to do an early check-in. Staff were professional and efficient. We had a lovely view from our room and a little balcony. Also only a short walk to multiple public transport stops. The location was also quite central to all the main sights.
