The only thing lacking was an iron and ironing board which for travellers out of a suitcase wanting to have dinner at a nice restaurant was a negative. There was also no guest laundry facility - not easy to create a laundry but maybe an ironing facility could be added.

Very comfortable family rooms - more spacious than we expected. Very clean, and the location was pefect, right in middle of everything you want to be a part of in St Wolfgang. Kitchen was very well equipped.

There is no fridge or mini bar in the room. Also there is no room service.

We received a large rooms with balcony. Staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is in the center of the town, the Garage just beside it (13,50 € / day).

Beds were a bit too firm for our liking and the room was a bit too crowded with furniture, which made the room feel a lot smaller than it was. The hotel is located right after the tunnel, which means there’s a lot of traffic and noise from it. We kept the door open during the night for air, but were woken up early by traffic and had to get up and close it again. It’s not the hotels fault, but would be nice if the speed limit wasn’t quite as high to reduce noise. Ruined the mood of sitting on the balcony a bit. Would be nice to have air condition or a fan, so we could avoid keeping the door open at night.

Very idyllic and traditional Austrian style gasthaus. Very beautiful with flowers greeting you at the entrance and from all balconies. We got a free upgrade to a room with a balcony, which was very appreciated as the weather was not very good while we were there and we could sit outside (in cover from the rain). The hotel is close to the lake, the city and many restaurants. There’s a small public bridge to swim from very close to the hotel. Great for a small dip, but not for hours of sun bathing. Staff were super friendly and helpful! They reserved parking space for us nearby at a reasonable price, which was really handy throughout our stay.

We had a small suite. We stayed there 5 people. There were 2 bedrooms , 1 toilet and a dining room with a kitchenette. It would be more comfortable if there would be 2 toilets instead of 1. The owner family worked there. They were very kind and very helpful if we asked something. But maybe they could be a little bit more involved. Never the less they were definetly very helpful and kind.

The decoration was wonderful. You could feel the spirit of Austrian Gasthöfe. Both from outside and inside ( the whole building, the entrance, the rooms we stayed and the breakfast-restaurant) . Also the kitchen in our room had every equipment we could’ve needed. Additionally they were very quick in answering any message we wrote. The communication was perfect. They were very helpful whenever we asked something.

Breakfast would have been lovely! It was also a shame not to see anyone at reception. Lastly, it was impossible to sit up in bed because there was a bit of wood running horizontally which made it uncomfortable. These are all small things though- we loved our stay.

Unfortunately, there was a problem with a cancellation fee that should not be charged and after 1 month I still cannot solve this problem. Actually, property is not answering phone calls, emails and SMS, from Booking.com customer service or myself. I have accepted the fact I will lose this money because I cannot lose my time anymore, but this is such a bitter experience. Not coming back and perhaps not using Booking again. It’s not the app fault but at the end I booked though you.

Everything was great and very clean. Beds are really comfortable. There is a great little balcony. Stuff was very kind. Location is perfect ( only a few seconds from the bus station). We really enjoyed our stay and hopefully will come back one day!

the owner betty was very very rude told us to use the stairs as her friends arrived and wanted to use the lift how rude ,the room was so small just enough for a rabbit the view of the concrete wall outside the window was horrible ,the bed was very uncomfortable and with the bed light right above the pillow so when you get up 1st thing you do is bang your head great start to the day. the wi fi was terrible the tv could could not watch nothing on it i think this is the worst hotel we have ever been in for the ammount of money we paid for . NEVER AGAIN

very nice hotel old stylish, close to old town and to the most popular hiking path. with access to the lake included in the price.

The weather was rainy while we were there. That's about all.

We liked everything the Platzhirsch has, most of all the classy breakfast nook. People were very welcoming.
