All in all it was great. One point for smokers: you will need to go out every time to smoke and that might cause disturbance to the owners as there’s only one exit.

The location is great, you’re really close (by car) to great attractions. The host was very accomadating with the check in, as we arrived quite late.

There was a surprising amount of traffic noise during the day, even though we were in the room furthest from the road; there was almost no traffic at night. The continental breakfast choice was a bit limited when it came to cereals, and it seemed like boiled eggs were limited in quantity (one each); good coffee, bread, sliced meats, cheese, fresh fruit, etc.,

Local scenery is fantastic, especially Gosausee and Wolfangsee. We thought this was a good base to visit Hallstatt (go early!) and Krippenstein cable-car etc., but the local Gosausee just up the valley was magical for evening strolls.

- Curtains are of poor quality and it makes rooms very bright very early in the morning (like 5am). There should be good quality curtains to block the early sunlight for better Sleep. - Owner Lady asked to pay Cash for the whole booking which does not feel right (Though she told us earlier so we can withdraw the cash).

Location is Amazing, Staff is also nice. Breakfast is there but limited and same for everyday.

Location is in bit remote area so nothing at walking distance. You need a Car to commute. Windows should have Netting. As we opened windows for ventilation, lots of bugs came at night.

Directly next to the road leading to Gosau lake. If you are sensitive for noise of cars - tractors passing by in the early morning better keep the window closed in summer , or early wake up :-) Traffic after 22:00 close to zero, so traffic noise is not an issue until 6-7:00am.

The house itself is not new, but very well maintained house. Attention on the right details. e.g. good and newish matrace, clean walls, user friendly room. Clean everywhere , nice window view to the green fileds, mountains, and cows. Very kind and helpfull hosting family, good selection of traditional brekafast choices.

Everything was amazing. The location was close to many beautiful hiking trails and the view from our window was breathtaking. The room was very Austrian-chalet with a great new, modern bathroom. Best of all was the proprietor, Gabriella who was very helpful, giving us great suggestions for hikes and who also got up early in the morning to prepare breakfast for us as we had to leave early. Would definitely return again

It is a little far from Salzburg (about 1 hour drive) but very close to Hallstatt (about 20 mins). And also ensure to bring your own toiletries (most European pension houses don’t offer the typical expected toiletries - shampoo, soap, hair dryer) but had a towel.

The pension house is very clean and my room had the best Mountain View. The area is very peaceful and Gosau in October is quiet. Gabrielle is the best hostess - breakfast is typically at 8am but she offered to prep it at 7am when I told her I had to be in Salzburg at 9am. She also offered some places to go to outside the typical touristy spots.
