My stay at the Airolodge motel was far from satisfactory. Upon entering the room, I was dismayed to discover that someone had clearly been on the bed before me, indicating a lack of thorough cleaning. The absence of a shower door in the bathroom was another inconvenience, making it difficult to contain water during showers. Furthermore, the absence of a hair dryer was an unexpected disappointment. To add to the list of issues, several lights in the room were malfunctioning, creating a dim and uncomfortable atmosphere. The locked window and door to the deck limited fresh air and natural light, making the room feel claustrophobic. However, the motel did have its merits. It was reasonably priced. Its proximity to good restaurants and the airport was a saving grace, particularly if you have an early morning flight. This convenience might outweigh the motel's numerous drawbacks if you need a place to stay before catching a flight. Nonetheless, I would strongly recommend management address the cleanliness and maintenance issues to ensure a more pleasant stay for future guests.

Reception not open as per booking information. Instructions on how to access room we’re not provided until the next morning after arrival. No soap in shower dispenser, hole in tap spout, no one available to check out.

The first room I was given smelled of cigarette smoke and the fridge wasn't working, which meant that I had to change rooms after lugging my language up 4 flights of stairs. Nobody offered to help me to the new room, having to go down another 2 flights of stairs. There was no lift.

rooms were spacious enough, 2 beds, small table and desk. Kitchenette had microwave, kettle, toaster and mini-fridge.

Property is very run down. The room needed a good spring clean. Dust everywhere. Soap scum in showers. Lifts were broken. Pool was green and unkept. No one at reception in the hours it was meant to be open.

Half the lights didn't work, there were hairs in the bathroom floor, the TV light flashes all night and no controls to turn off the air con. The shower fitting is also loose.

Staff couldn’t be found. The phone to call them in room was broken. The phone to call them outside was broken. Calling within business hours off my mobile put you through to an after hours answering service. Reception hours really limited - no one there most of the day. Tried to charge for 4 days instead of 3. Pillows seemed to be about 10 years old… needed to use 3. Pool hasn’t been cleaned in years and featured a “closed foot maintenance” sign. Looked like the swamp that shrek lived in.

It looks like someone is trying their best to run this place into the ground. To start with the office is only open from 10 am to 3pm. No-one was there at ten and the phone number to contact management goes to an answering company that says ring back later. Saw many late check-ins frustrated by not being able to obtain a key via the after hours drop box. Lot of facilities out of order. Lifts out of order as was the swimming pool. General maintenance non existant. Lightbulbs broken or missing. Toilet seat loose. Fridge leaking and the remote to the air conditioner missing. Yard just let go.

The location is very good. Handy to 2 supermarkets and close to trains and River Cat ferries. The configeration and lay out of the rooms is very good.

No cold water jug in fridge. No forks for eating. Internet kept dropping out which meant I could not check in for my international flight. No shuttle service. No restaurant or ability to buy water drinks, and shops not close. No tissues.

The traffic noise was when your situated at the very front of the building is very loud, the bathroom sink didn’t drain properly but for a bargain price of what we paid, it was clean and suited our purpose of having somewhere to stay for about 8 hours prior to our early flight.

Easy check-in process over the phone due to late arrival. Convenient location near airport.
