Shared bathrooms.

Very clean. It’s a hostel, but everyone was respectful. There was a little confusion at first because we needed a car park. The evening host was very helpful getting us a park behind a locked gate. It did feel like a very European environment with Big Brother tech surveillance that YHA have set up.

The hostel was very quiet and calm. All facilities were very clean, including the kitchen. Great location, close to the greyhound bus stop, grocery stores etc.

Plug point beside the bed instead of on the floor would be nice.

Nice location, is well known for pickups. Basic hotel has laundry and kitchen facilities.

Staff unavailable after 5 or 6 pm (forget which but it was early!).

Comfortable hostel, the front desk closes really early so make sure you know everything you need to get in if arriving after 5 or 6pm. Didn't spot the lockbox at first and had to ask a guest through the secure fencing! I had not read all the info in the long email lower down the page so missed the advice about safe car parking; make sure you pre-arrange this with the hostel as the area immediately outside isn't recommended for overnight cars. Otherwise comfortable rooms, clean well equipped kitchen, nice pool.

I couldn't close the curtain next to my bed and there was a light outdoors, so it was quite bright while sleeping.

The kitchen needed updating! Especially the leaky taps and needed more kettles or a replacement boiling water tap.

The hostel is amazing, a lot of bathrooms, a massive kitchen and comfortable beds. Position super central, close to everything.

The mat of the public shower was quiet dirty.Need to deep clean at least weekly if daily routine was busy. I only stayed for 3nights,but two of the night was noisy outside the YHA.

step leading to kitchen not highlighted or lit and so very dangerous at night esp doors to room very noisy waking ppl up all the time bathroom very poorly cleaned. corners in toilet closets ignored. no glasses in kitchen no forks tv not working - couldn’t switch to tv from games or hdm2 needs to be two TVs: one for games and Netflix shows and another for free tv. not monitored for fair use. not signed for fair use. bathroom doors very noisy for room next door noise after 10pm not monitored repeatedly. ppl trekking or catching flights kept awake till v late causing angry exchanges

Bag storage not very secure, any guest can get the door code. Would feel more secure if only management had access to the room.

There isn't discount for activities. The shower takes minutes to heat up. The kitchen is full of flies and the air wasn't circulating so you always smell like food if you stayed there for a while

The location of the YHA is very near to Todd Mall and supermarket. They have laundry with 4 AUD washing machine and 4 AUD drying machine. There is a free clothes / gear shelf where people can leave and take items. They can borrow fly net and sleeping bag to you if you are going to 3 days Uluru tour.

I was in room 10, a four-bedroom girl's room, and the dark girl (I'm not a racist) who slept in my lower bunk was a little crazy. She basically stayed in her room all day and didn't go out much. The sound insulation effect of the house was very bad. At around 8:00 in the evening, when the people next door were chatting loudly, the girl started to hammer wildly on the wall (because I was sleeping in the upper bunk, I was woken up by her hammering on the wall and kept talking to herself in a language I didn't understand). I was really scared at that time.

We were able to pay & park our car securely inside the grounds at a small price while we were away walking for several days. Staff couldn't have been more helpful

not enough toilets / showers! nice kitchen BUT only 3 sets of stoves = A LOT of waiting until one can cook windows didn't seal = cold wind came through the room
