How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room was not the room we paid for the balcony door has broken lock and air conditioner not working when we mentioned yes we know I feel that this should have been mentioned to us as we were good enough to take this room when the room we booked and paid for at least a month before was suddenly not available

Main bed too small it's the old double bed. No Queen size or King size bed. Some staff are rude Wifi not working properly, staff could not care.

I realise the building had to be cleaned however I felt we should have received a discount as the pool was closed and we had the outdoor furniture inside for at least three days, leaving no room to move.

our room had roofing panels that had fallen down and all electrical wires exposed above the tv from the roof. out tv wasn’t working and needed replacing on our second day. we booked a sea view room and could not see the sea from our room. the shower was covered in mould

it wasn’t very clean, windows were very dirty so what little ocean view we got the windows impaired this. booked a one bedroom ocean view room and got a 3rd floor three bedroom apartment for a couple. Weren’t told this at check in and when we got to the room staff was gone so we couldn’t query it. Chose this hotel because of its ratings but didn’t meet our expectations.

we had Luke warm showers the whole weekend, we were advised by management to let the hot water continuously run in the laundry and the hot water would eventually come up, it did to the laundry but alternated between cold and Luke warm in the showers, I have been emailing manager to try to get our stay discounted by 1 night paid back to us but he is not interested in trying to help us in any way as was our experience while we stayed there

The property refused my request of an early check in without providing a reason why. When we arrived at 8.30am to drop our luggage off, they refused to store our luggage in a secure place. We were forced to leave our suitcases in an unlocked communal space where a strata meeting was going to occur. This caused my daughter to feel quite anxious, so we ended up having to go through our luggage and carry a lot of our things. When we returned to the property at 2.15pm, our apartment wasn't ready and we were told a strange story about a child throwing an object at a fan. Our $480 per night apartment was finally ready at 3pm. The facilities that are advertised on the website are closed and I believe this to be misleading and deceptive. My daughter was very disappointed to discover that the gym and sauna were both closed. During our 5 day stay, we weren't offered fresh towels or to replenish the tea and instant coffee. When we checked out, I experienced difficulty with the Uber app and was forced to ask the same unhelpful and rude person to call a taxi for the airport. A taxi didn't show up and I don't believe one was ever called.
The apartment is very spacious, stylish and immaculate. It has unobstructed views of the ocean and the Hinterland and two well furnished balconies.

Attention to detail on room facilities, cleaning etc. could be improved. We were missing items such as tea towels and dishwashing liquid on arrival, and we were meant to have a room service for bed linen part way through our stay as we stayed longer than 7 nights, but this never happened. Also recommend reviewing each room to make sure there are enough bowls, plates, cutlery etc for the room size booked. We only had 4 bowls, limited cutlery and limited cooking utensils. A family apartment should have potato masher, whisk etc, plus a large pot for cooking. Regardless of these oversights, I would stay again, but definitely some room for improvement.
Fantastic hotel with lots of space and nice rooms. Great location and friendly staff!

The bathroom in ensuite. The shower was a had held unit and adjustable but the holder of the shower kept falling down to the fall. Also the hose had a bend in it so when you turned it on water went everywhere.

Smell from bathroom open trap in the floor was bad, made the whole apartment smell. Crockery was not clean. Sofas not comfortable.
Apartment was spacious, nice balcony and sea view. Close to all restaurants and cafes. Bed was comfy. Close the the beach.
