can't fault anything, except maybe that you need to book well in advance if you can as often there are no vacancies, and for good reason!

Aspect Central is our go-to choice for convenience and comfort especially when flying in or out of Cairns. The location is superb, being only 5km from the airport and the rooms have everything you need. If there's no parking inside the complex, there is easy and ample parking on the street.

As a solo traveler, the room I had was just what I needed. The location was within walking distance to the esplanade and the city center and most days I did just this. Every day when I would get back the room was refreshed and clean. The bed was comfy and the extra cooking amenities (stove top, kettle, toaster, microwave) made my stay a little easier.

There were no wine glasses in the room. We borrowed from the adjacent restaurant, which was not connected to the motel although there was a direct internal door access to the restaurant. Each evening the glasses were required to be returned by 9pm. First world problem, of course. I would still choose to stay at Aspect again. There is limited space for parking inside the motel so street parking is the only other option.

The effort to provide gated security was effective and probably necessary. The rooms received minimal service and that was reflected in the price, so no problem there. The reception was open for limited hours (7am - 7pm and also closed between 12 noon and 2pm.) but being aware of this and working around it probably also assisted in keeping the room rate down. Once again, no issue with that.

Good value for money - only stayed a night after getting in late from airport. Check in instructions were clear and easy to follow which made checking in after a flight a lot less stressful! Had everything we needed for a good 1 night stay.

I would have liked a microwave in the room. Also some cutlery and crockery. There was only one cup and a spoon. The bed was a bit soft.

The location was central to the places I wanted to go - parkrun, beach, shops, Marina and bus station. I did not have a vehicle and everything was within walking distance for me.

it’s located near a bottle shop so it can be dangerous of a night, lots of drunks. this isn’t the properties fault, just a con of the location

close to the airport and east to get an Uber/ transport, rooms had ac which was great as cairns can be very hot. lady in reception was really nice

A group of children staying at motel were extremely noisey whilst returning to their rooms. Yelling, running on verandah and talking very loud. They woke us up with their noise in the middle of the night. This carried on for sometime.

2 x chairs in the room could have been a bit better; expect to hear some airport noise; & "Main Street" location (can also expect some of the 'locals' to approach you).

Effectively DIY food if u want - toaster, M/Wave, kettle & small fridge. Secure gate/carpark access. Less than 100 meters to local supermarket/take-away food etc..

The pillows are a bit bulky for my liking and this point was shared by a colleague who also stayed at the same motel

I had an upgrade on my booking due to limited availability. The receptionist resolved my query about the change in a very helpful manner and was kind enough to offer to help me take my bag up the rather narrow stairs. The Indian Restaurant adjacent, Tandoori Nights, serves great Indian food.

- It’s fairly easy to hear what’s going on outside but it wasn’t that big of a deal. - They were shooting an amateur movie at the motel & they started filming early (around 8am) each morning I was there (5 nights). I’d assume this isn’t a regular occurrence though. There’s more words regarding the negatives of this accommodation, but this is a good stay. Good value for money with what you’re getting & it was a comfortable stay.

The studio room had a lounge chair in it which wasn’t needed as the room is so small. A luggage rack in its place would be more useful.

The after-hours check-in was easy, with good communication from Aspect. Stayed in the ‘studio’ room which was the size of a postage stamp but fine for one night.
