Don’t do your first drive here in the dark. a narrow dirt road followed by a steep driveway 😊

Graeme was amazing, and my wife and I would love to live in this cabin! away from everything and a dirt road for the last section, and then a beautiful cabin in a majestic location. loved our time here!

only thing was the wifi isn’t great, not a problem but bare in mind if you need to be connected for any reason

very well set up with a building for bathrooms and a building for kitchen. cold room but two heaters provided which was great. well equipped kitchen and the location is lovely, surrounded by trees and wildlife. despite being isolated it was easy to find with directions and google maps and is not too far from new norfolk

Wifi and phone reception was virtually zero. About a 10 minute drive to get into any sort of phone or data range. If you did need to be connected for any reason you won’t really be able to do that reliably at the property, so keep that in mind. No oven, but that was minor. Still had microwave, hot plates, toaster etc. fridge and small freezer. The night lighting was a bit dim and only a few power outlets, but again nothing major. A bit hairy getting up to the property at night, low vidability and some steep windy roads. Just need to take it slow and be sensible. You will always need a designated driver (this was not an issue for us), but should be kept in mind.

This is an eco warriors dream. Close enough to new Norfolk to get all supplies and only a quick round trip if you for got anything. Really peaceful, lots of wildlife and a sense of classic Tasmanian wilderness. The wifi was not really usable and there is virtually no phone signal - this was both a positive and a negative. Great to be off screens and not constantly checking msgs and apps. Very relaxed and warm. Calm and serene. Graham is absolutely lovely and made the stay a breeze. Can house up to six. Great for a friends get away or a family retereat. No TV in the cabin!! Great eco vibe. Definitely promotes real conversation and appreciation for the simple thing msg in life.

Driving there in the evening could be a bit challenging, better to check in before it gets dark.

Three separate buildings, dorm, kitchen, toilets/bathrooms/laundry. Environmentally friendly design, using solar power(partially) and compost toilets. All buildings have heaters, nice and warm in winter, Graeham has a detailed report of the local wildlife, including those he rescued and released back to the nature. Worth a read.

Loved the location, the cabin was cosy with a beautiful view from the many windows. Appreciated the eco-focus of the property. Lots of animals around made it feel like you were deep in the wilderness. Graham the owner was friendly and hospitable.

Grahame is the ultimate host. Friendly, knowledgeable and makes your stay as comfortable as possible. Amazing facilities and a campground where native flora and fauna abound. It was a great place for us to set up our tent and use as a base for our two night get away with our young family. Highly recommend!

    Can't think of anything!!!

The owner/care taker, Graeme, is the best host. We stayed at the bungalow and it is very comfortable and clean. It is well equipped with everything you will need for a comfortable stay. We mentioned to Graeme that we were going to visit a very remote area the next day and Graeme was so kind to loan us his EPERB. Thank you kindly Graeme.
