How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. The room, whilst dated, was clean and comfortable. Lots of towels. The location worked well for us. Staff were excellent and forwarded my glasses to me after I left them in the room.

Overall the building is a bit old. During the night, it is a bit to find the parking downstairs.

The air-conditioning blows straight on my face when it's on, and the my nose and skin got very dry and uncomfortable during the night because of it.
Water pressure was great, beds were very comfortable, clean, plenty of room.

Garbage had not been removed from garbage bin under sink. Parking an issue but Heather looked after us

The shower needs more detailed cleaning. Apart from the shower recess needing detailed cleaning the room was clean, comfortable and neat. As there is the facility to prepare a light meal or heat takeaway it would be nice to have a small table in the room to sit and eat or drink coffee. Not sure what the bench was near the Television Stand.
The location of the room was very good as it was quiet. The bed was comfortable but soft. The kitchen facilities were good as I could make coffee and prepare a small meal.,

The amount of dust with in the room, it set off all our asthma. I had requested house keeping for every second day, it wasn’t put in the system until I spoke to reception on our 4th day. When house keeping came, they didn’t leave towels or floor mats. Only made beds, removed wet towels and took out the bin. Reception only gave us one keycard, when overhearing another customer they offered them two. The car parking is dreadful.

Location on corner came with traffic noise on Friday and Saturday particularly. However it did not prevent me sleeping or feeling comfortable.

Had people in park opposite Hotel making noise till late at night.
Location was exceptional. Walked to War memorial, Parliament house, CBD. Did not use car at all. Once car was parked, that's where it stayed for entire trip

The venue did not have our booking as Bookings.com didn’t send our booking so they had no room reserved for us. Receptionist called the manager and gave us 4 executive rooms instead.

Inside the wardrobe was a bit worn (not an issue for a short stay), shower was a bit narrow with low ceilings (fine for smaller people)
Good location - near food, bars, markets in the park, etc. Good value and comfortable. Kitchenette and couch was nice to have and he shower was hot with good water pressure :)

Room was on 3rd floor fronting on to noisy road. Needs double glazing to reduce noise. Liked the room apart from this!
Very nice room, good facilities, comfy bed, lovely shower, nice kitchen, good undercover parking, had everything we needed, close to shops and restaurants.

Again not that it caused us any issues as we drive a smaller SUV but the carpark was fairly tight especially when full.
Madison Executive apartments was a lovely clean motel. The hallways were slightly dark but doesn’t effect a comfortable, clean larger style accomodations. The beds were the most comfortable thing I think I have ever slept on. The location was absolutely amazingly close to shopping centre and amazing eateries. The staff were beautifully friendly. Perfectly small kitchenette with a bar fridge. The kids were pleasantly surprised that the tv included Netflix and free wifi. Highly recommended!!

Lift was very slow, the corridors and windows could have done a with a good clean, lots of cobwebs and dirty windows.
