We had breakfast the morning we departed. The staff member did not have plates or bread out even tho it was 8am. It was as if she was not expecting anyone for breakfast. The restaurant was not open Tuesday Wednesday or Thursday . We would have gone on the Monday nite if we had been informed.

Advertised as a short stroll to town centre, which is great on the way to town and its downhill. The problem is the walk home...uphill the whole way. There's no taxis or users in town.

Our room was only a double bed which was small for us and I should have realised from the booking. There was barely a staff member in sight. When we checked in the staff member was not particularly welcoming or friendly and there was no one at the small reception desk whenever we passed by and also when checked out in the morning.

The property is in a lovely setting, spacious gardens and lots of trees nearby. There was also an outdoor pool which was a lovely way to cool down and relax at the end of a long day. The room had an opening window which was also nice to be able to have fresh air rather than aircon.

They have two car parks with ample parking space but they are a bit of a walk away from the entrance.

Stayed here for 3 nights, the hotel is very well maintained with a luxury feel to it, standard double room was small but serviced daily. The hotel is walking distance from the town center though the walk back to the hotel is all up hill. All staff were lovely, Their restaurant was closed during the stay period. The grand oaks and surrounding area is beautiful.

The bar and restaurant weren’t open. The spa in the room didn’t work for 2 out of the three nights.

The king deluxe was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The location was great. Staff were very nice.

Room and bed really quite small for two people. Bar only open limited hours and what looks like a nice restaurant not open for another few weeks. Good excuse to explore Beechworth which is well worth it.

Great atmosphere beautiful surroundings close to town and friendly staff. Property well maintained very leafy grounds good parking and pool.

Bathroom was clean but it seems hotels generally struggle with ensuring total cleanliness in bathrooms.

Room was small but clean. Location is very nice, a little out of the town centre in lovely parklands. Walking distance at a pinch. Restuarant looked very nice. Had an issue with the room and Michelle resolved for us. Was very happy with Michelle.

Answering the phone, phoned many times when in the spa part of the pool to try and find out if it had a switch to turn on the spa. Didn’t find out so left the pool area.

The staff weren’t very friendly or inviting. Especially the bar staff. Made us feel unwelcome and seemed annoyed when we ordered a drink.

Some staff were abrupt and rude with different customers over three days. Overt outbursts to other staff members made customers feel uncomfortable and for resort prices this is unacceptable.

The grounds are excellent and the location is relaxed. The house keeping staff were friendly, Michelle and Simone were great hosts making you feel welcome.
