We arrived quite late and had left our luggage at the hotel prior to our arrival. Mike organized our bags to be in the room when we arrived and SMS'd entry codes and key locations to me which was super helpful. Probably not the flashest hotel in Cairns, but pretty hard to beat for the price I'd say. Mike was pleasant to deal with and very helpful. Thumbs up in my book.

There was no wifi for the entire 17days of our stay even though we were told was only a temporary issue, would have been nice to have wifi. Fans were very dusty, but we cleaned them ourselves. There were quite a few roaches. Dining chairs were awkwardly very fragile, not appropriate for people with a bit of weight.

Enjoyed the location of the room was as we requested. Our room was attended to twice during our stay really appreciated that. We also appreciated our privacy during our stay.

The property was centrally located, it was only a 5min drive away to the main CBD, less than 10mins drive to the airport & about a 10min walk to the esplanade. It had the basic accomodation facilities that you’d need with a great shower head. If you’re looking for luxury accomodation, this isn’t it - although you’d get a bang for your buck here if all you need is a comfortable stay that has all the basic amenities that you need. It has a kitchenette, ironing board & iron, AC, comfortable beds, couch & TV. The female owner was very accomodating to my parents & was very welcoming!

Ants. And that they don't replace toilet paper when they do room cleaning. Cleaning was a little poor, only changed sheets and hovered main room not bathroom or toilet

Smell of smoke throughout the walkways which went into rooms. Noisy clientele.

The manager was very accomodating with our change of dates due to our cancelled flight. Good price so older style rooms. Nice pool. Good parking.

All our beds were uncomfortable - mine was broken. The pool needed a major vacuum - sediment rose off the floor with every step. There was a mildew type smell and possible black mold on the bathroom ceiling. Smokers outside other people's rooms resulted in wafts of smoke invading rooms every time the front door was opened.

The secure parking and security gates to the complex was great. The staff were super friendly. The pool is in a great central location. The rooms were very clean and tidy. Good budget accommodation.

the access gate was a bit noisy with people coming and going a lot. SOme of the furniture could be updated but that is part of the reason the price is so good.

nothing fancy but very comfortable and had all the things i needed for a stay. The rooms were very clean and the pool was great to cool off in. The car parking was secure and gates locked over night with access codes if you went out. There is a drinks machine with snacks as well. The room had plates, cups and bowls for self catering breakfast etc. The esplanade is an easy walk away. Manager was very helpful and allowed early check outs and check ins etc.
