Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaIt was very hot and no air-conditioning in the bedrooms. We found a little fan in the wardrobe in the morning ( it was too late by then) would be good to have it noted on arrival or in the room somewhere that if you need heating or cooling in the bedrooms that there are appliances in the wardrobes.

AustraliaThe shower over a large spa bath was dangerous and I have the bruises to show for it. In the past a spa might have been considered luxurious, however, changing it out for a large shower would be much more convenient and safer.

AustraliaOne bedroom didn't have a curtain. Lamp in the living room didn't have a lightbulb but wasn't an issue. Weren't able to store luggage while we were waiting to check into our room (we arrived at 11:30am). - Not an issue but worth noting that only one key card is provided, and is needed to take the elevator and open the doors after hours. Plan accordingly if in a group that might split up.
Comfortable beds and homely living/dining room. Tea/coffee, milk, and sugar provided. Property was close to public transport (there's a tram stop directly opposite the entrance) which made getting around the city a breeze. Lovely spacious bathroom with good lighting. Good WiFi. Recommend the aquarium, zoo, state library, and markets if visiting.
