Having a queen bed, flat screen tv and en suite for a budget price in Sydney was excellent. Add access to cooking facilities and you have all the makings of a pleasant stay.

Unfortunately, the rooms and bathrooms were filthy from other guests staying in my dorm. What annoys me is when you stay in these rooms, the people just use the excuse that what backpackers do.Thank God there are backpacker hostels that do not put up with these bad Hygiene levels and dirty guests are pulled into line.I love YHA I wait for the new renovations of this Hostel.

Had a snorer, talker, screaming in his sleep first night...moved to another where a fella coughed non stop all night. Thankfully moved again where folks were quiet,respectful and slept well

The bathrooms are a little outdated but maintained well and the hallways could use a new coat of paint (it just made the inside seem really dark) We also noticed the internal latch doesn’t work, however when we spoke to the staff they were very friendly and explained that the latches are outdated and it relies on the key card system which only the assigned guests or staff can access the room which was reliving, they were very clear and explained it well Myself and my friend stayed in a private room with ensuite and noticed it gets quiet cold at night (end of April) in the room and we had to rug up with extra jumpers under the blankets, we couldn’t find a thermostat if there was one (unsure if there was heating in the room)

Honestly the property is kept clean and it’s in a great location, staff a friendly and guests are also nice to talk to

No fridge or heating in the room plus no shower screen only a half curtain and the shower it self was not good .

The breakfast offered was not perfect, it could have been better

It is a large residence with many rooms and floors, it is perfect for those who want to travel by public transportation and because it is located next to the Central Station. There is a very large floor for the kitchen and common area which is suitable. General cleanliness is also good and acceptable

The check in it’s too late and the check out to early I paid for one night and it wasn’t even 24 hours and the breakfast was horrible

* lack of accurate communication for car parking. a unique verbal password given to each guest for the intercom at the entry is such an easy fix. * inflexibility to deal with unique situations that face a disabled guest in urgent need of a toilet on arrival . . . told "please wait in line and then I'll make you a key card for the lift." * all situations resolved with effort on the guest's initiative. * nobody seems to know or will take responsibility to find out. * slow staff procedures focussed on booking people in at the front desk. there's no point to checking in or out online if it doesn't save you time and you're told to please wait in line.

quiet room / modern / location / Incafe great for meals / overnight car parking on-site in Sydney / great to be able to transport a disabled guest direct from YHA Central.
