Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaLight in bathroom was hanging out the ceiling and didn't work making it hard to get ready to go out! Could do with more interior lighting in general. Construction of a building next door meant very noisy from 7am.
The room was totally ok for a night in the city, but feeling a little worn. Comfortable and good size.

AustraliaWe had to close the staff linen door to open our bedroom door and unfortunately had to keep pushing it shut to get into our room. The glass screen for the shower was inadequate and everything got wet that we didnt want wet when we showered.
Location was good for what we had planned.

Australiawe paid extra for a balcony, however sadly all we overlooked was a construction site. We also might’ve used the pool, however found it to be closed until 10am on Sundays. Not suitable for early risers!
a bit out of the thick of city traffic. we were able to park our front without paying for a carpark.

AustraliaUpon arrival everything was quite chaotic, there were lots of painters/staff on the go, although we did arrive quite earlier and a job is a job, especially at this time. We found it difficult to find the exact location of the Soho as there is lots of pathway work going on + a lot of building construction. The sign isn’t very big and the entrance has a bit of a hallway so we weren’t 100% sure if we were at the right building, but this is not the hotels fault, just everything going on around it. Upon entering out floor, the chain mail (not sure what the exact material is but this is close to what it is) wall was coming off of the walls, and you can see exactly where areas have been repainted and the hallways were very small and dark, the grey colours aren’t the most welcoming with little light, it is a little bit eerie. The staff door next to our room was constantly open and I was unable to close it. Not a huge issue but was a bit annoying. The doors are extremely heavy, very safe but make sure to wait until all guests walk through because I did get it slammed onto me (ouchies). The room was very lovely and quite spacious, but the bathroom had an awful oder coming from it. A few corners of the bathroom probably need some TLC, same with the ripped blinds behind the main ones, but personally this didn’t bother me a bit. There were a few rubbish items in the bedside table drawers that we had to throw out. The remote for the TV needs a back, the battery kept falling out. Before we had our stay we read about the construction workers but didn’t think anything of it, but in the morning it was almost unbearably loud. Not a nice place for a romantic or leisurely get away. I understand this is not the hotels fault but this hotel is definitely more so for anyone who needs a last minute stay rather than a nice getaway. I’d like to say too, none of these issues ruined my trip or made me unhappy in anyway, just things I’d like to address.
Our Soho stay was at a lovely designed hotel with a very nice restaurant downstairs/attached to the hotel. Staff were amazing and despite us arriving hours earlier our room was already ready! The receptionist gave us all necessary details and was very welcoming. The colours of the hotel are like nothing I’ve seen before, it all blends in well together. The room was very nice and the beds were so comfortable and felt clean and fresh! The TV size is amazing and we used this frequently. The balcony is a nice size, with tables and chairs. They have all necessary utilities and all were in good condition. The shower was spacious and the water pressure was lovely, very nice for any guest who is tall! Our room was cleaned while we were out and every towel was replaced and our bed was made, despite all of our stuff being everywhere (apologies) we were so happy that this was done as we weren’t sure if this was included!! We were very pleased with the affordability and what we received in the room. This was a nice stay and very close to the CBD. It is a great spot for last minute stay.

AustraliaLacked general Room and Hotel Info. I thought the room was centrally heat controlled as I could not find any in room controls or instructions. On the last day I found the air conditioner remote hidden under the TV remote. As I did not use the TV, I did not know there was a remote control there for the air conditioner.

AustraliaThe room was dark, did not have much lighting and some of the lights did not work. Natural light was not possible due to shutters outside of the room. The shutters were not good in windy conditions. When we asked if the shutters could be adjusted or opened we were told if there is a panel to do it you can but a few have been removed as they no longer work due to damage of the nearby construction site. When I mentioned the noise created by the shutters the concierge was polite but didn’t offer any additional assistance solutions or direction. Understanding they can not control the weather, the shutter situation was not acceptable, they were loud and banged constantly and it was not possible to have quality sleep. This should be looked at prior to having people stay. Given they were damaged we couldn’t even have any natural light during the daylight hours even if we wanted to which would have been great with limited lighting. The whole stay was average and disappointing compared to other stays in Adelaide recently. Also the printed welcome note with wifi etc was clearly reused (not covid friendly).
The location was great for what we needed and the bed was comfy.

Australiafor the amount of money we paid for 2 nights we expected a different standard for what we got. Corners of the walls were chipped, parts of the room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for a while, water pressure from the shower was awful and the whole bathroom got wet because of the shower water ricocheted onto the floor and toilet. woke up on Saturday morning at 8am to sound of construction going on directly outside. no robes which was advertised, mini bar was poor with only a small milk. photos provided on booking.com were very different to the actual standard of the room, we have paid similar prices to stay at other hotels and this has not been any where near the standard of other hotels.
good location, bed was comfy, air con worked well.

AustraliaNo shampoo, soap or conditioner available. Shower head was hard to get nice, probably a bit too big for the pressure. Unable to turn exhaust fan off in bathroom, it was noisy and continually going all night. I did see just a few days before booking that it was almost half price by booking direct than through Booking.com. I did try to change to direct booking to save money but limited by time to do it.
the spa was good, room neatly presented. Having the wall of black cabinets and tv/bar insert was nice and luxurious
