Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

GermanyWe had to ask for a change of the room the moment we arrived because our room was located close to the air conditioning machines or something similar, which were located outside. The noise was incredibly loud that there was no chance one could have a relaxing sleep. I can't understand how they offer these kind of rooms to the public. It was shocking. They changed us to a room which was located a floor higher. Not the best, but at least an improvement... The breakfast was okay but not a great variety was offered for the price we paid. Not worth it, I would say.

The breakfast that was available was good but would have loved to see more options like other hotel buffets we've had in Perth.

United KingdomHalf the rooms face a blank wall. Hotel management a bit haphazard. Kettle broken in room, TV remote batteries flat, broken air-conditioner in room, key card would not provide carpark access on second day, lots of rubbish (other than construction materials) in the carpark.

AustraliaThe kettle in our room leaked - we reported it and a replacement was brought to us - this leaked as well. The shower was so noisy but the water was ok when the taps were adjusted. This proved hard for me as my senior female hands haven't the strength they used to have - and the shower itself blocked access to the taps. Again, we hope this is improved with the renovations.
We liked the location, the room size was adequate but the whole place looks tired and we noticed that renovations are happening. We would like to try it again when the work is completed - but it is a very long way from Townsville.
