Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomUnfortunately the roof terrace bar was closed when we visited. The ground floor bar had no atmosphere and the bar service was lack lustre and the drinks list disappintingly small.

United StatesThe bathtub was so narrow that we had to take a shower with one foot in front of the other! The magnifier mirror was to high that not even a basketball player could use it. The hotel has nice and big installations. They should offer breakfast included.
Location was excellent! The room was clean. The bed comfortable.

NetherlandsThere is a room for leaving your luggage, but on two occasions we found it unlocked and unattended. We went in to retrieve our bag (we had a ticket) but were told off quite unpleasantly by the concierge that we were not allowed in there. Yeah, maybe, but perhaps you should keep the door locked or at least guarded ...
Clean rooms, great to have the car park downstairs. You were five minutes from the center of Brussels, and centrally located for most of the interesting sites. It's a lovely hotel, and I'd heartily recommend it (but see my comment about the luggage room)

SlovakiaJust only thing - the plug socket could be besides the bed, at the night table, so the guest can charge the cellphone at bed. But this is just a recommendation, no big deal.
I travelled to Brussels for business trip, it was a nice hotel. Firstly, I would appreciate the staff at the counter - I had problems to pay (my bank application took long to load), but they were ok with that. All in all - hotel was nice, rooms and breakfast as well. I do recommend.

IrelandWater took a while to heat up in the shower, but other than that, everything was good.
The location is fantastic, only a 2 minute walk to the Brussels Centraal station, and about 5 minutes walk to the Grande Place. There are also plenty of food options nearby. The bed was comfortable.

Saudi ArabiaThe room orientation was weird There were no plugs / outlets next to the bed All outlet were on the opposite wall (no table or anything near it). Most outlet will shut off when you turn off the main switch (light) Only 2 outlets would work when the lights are off, and these outlet are not near any table that you can put your stuff that you want to charge. It was a-bit inconvenient.
Location excellent Has parking though it was expensive All restaurants near Most of attraction is in walking distance The room had mini fridge

United KingdomThe only thing we could fault was the small amount of dust on the bathroom floor and the dated bath and shower, maybe these could be replaced with something in the same style but a bit more modern. We also did not eat at the hotel, we felt the options available were too expensive and not worth the money. These things did not affect our overall experience.
We (English & Italian) stayed here for 4 nights in February 2024. Although I myself have been to Brussels many times before, my partner had not, and I was looking for a hotel with a ‘wow’ factor to help us have the best possible experience. The location of the Hotel is optimal, a 5 minute walk to Brussel Centraal station, and pretty much round the corner from the Grand Place. The front of house staff were friendly and accommodating, I cannot fault their English language skills. Our room was perfect for our stay. Given we visited early February, the weather wasn’t exactly at its best, but this wasn’t a problem and our room was kept at a toasty temperature at all times. Unexpectedly, the view of the grand town hall spire in the centre square added extra magic to our stay. We were never disturbed by noise during our sleep in the big comfy bed, and the range of channels on the large TV in the room ensured we could watch anything from the BBC to Spanish and German programs. The desk in the room is a good size and the mirrorThe large wardrobe was perfect for our storage needs and the mini-fridge was sufficient for cooling our beer and the foie-gras we bought to take back home. Our rooms were tended to every day and cleaned to a good standard. The style of the hotel itself is classy and slightly dated, but for us this just added to the experience, with the rooftop bar the perfect place to visit in the evening, which we didn’t find too pricey given the location and panoramic views of the city. On the day we left we were able to leave our luggage with the hotel and collect it in the evening before leaving Brussels - although we did wish we could have stayed another few nights! The deposit money we paid on the room was returned promptly and without any issues, as we are satisfied with the value for money on our stay given it was a one-off. I can recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a classy few nights in Brussels.

United KingdomThe hotel was great overall, but since it's a four star hotel I still thought I'd mention three minor things: first, in my room there were no sockets close to the bed so not easy to charge your phone while checking it; the hotel wifi was also said to be free only for 3 days when signing in, which I thought was unusual for an hotel of this class. Second, it was mid April and I found that the room was a bit cold (did not know how to warm it up) and the water in the bathroom was rather slow to get warm. Finally, on the last day I could hear my new room neighbours, so unsure about how sound proof the rooms actually are when the hotel is busy.
Great central location, very close to the central station. Very helping and accommodating staff. Great breakfast. Reception open 24/7, the staff accommodated all of my demands and was very professionnal. Provided receipts at the end of my stay, great for a working stay. Lots of goodies in the room. Spacious, very clean. Because of work I did not have time to check the gym, sauna, or the TV in the room, but would have loved to.
