Not too clean, sofa bed for 3rd person had dog hair and was not made. We had to make the bed in the sofa ourselves. Mattresses were already very old and not very comfortable. Didn't have shower cabinet despite having enough space in the bathroom for it, in stead had an already old shower courtin. WiFi very weak and slow.

Lovely location, very close to the Rila monetary with easy parking. Dinner was tasty and bed comfortable.

Good sized room, great location, with fine view from balcony, and delightful sound of babbling water from nearby creek. Most staff spoke some English, which was appreciated ... although they did appear rather dour: smiles are nice to see.

Despite of the written description of the room there was no fridge which is a major mistake... Not a big problem, but please note that the reception is not always manned, you have to go to the restaurant to find the staff - we found out after five minutes of waiting

Good location, 10 minutes by car from Rila monastery, nice place in the mountains close to the river. Room is spacious, good balcony. The restaurant offers good variety of food (try the Kawarma, Bulgarian speciality!) and the wine list is amazingly good, Bulgarian wines are great and very inexpensive.

The food at the restaurant ( taste, prezentation, the name of the food in the menu ) suggests something different than they bring to you. I ordered stewed vegetables and I got defrosted mexican vegetables. I asked for cabbage salat and, instead of a salat bowl, I got some little salat near my stake.

Everything was terrific --- the location, the room, the facilities, the restaurant, etc. Also, very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

We had limited time to visit the Rila Monastery, arriving late in the afternoon from Plovdiv, and needing to leave early the following morning for the Sofia airport, so we wanted to stay as close to the Rile Monastary as possible This accommodation not only filled that bill, but it turned out to be much more comfortable and special than we had anticipated. The somewhat rustic lodge is located on the banks of a beautiful mountain stream, which our spacious room overlooked. We booked a larger room with a balcony, and it was well worth the extra cost, particularly since the rooms are reasonably priced to begin with. The restaurant at the lodge is wonderful, with a good selection of local dishes, including mountain trout. Hotel Gorski Cut was so nice, we regretted that we couldn't stay longer to simply enjoy the quiet mountain location. (Also, plenty of free parking on the premises.)

The internet was bad. Not all rooms had air conditioning opposite to what the property claimed (however, this is not a negative since the area gets quite cold during the night. The receptionist was never at her location. The restaurant was crowded (weekend).

Rooms were better than what I was expecting based on the published pictures . The food in the restaurant was very traditional for the area and great on taste! The location to Rila monastery was great by car but not by walking (5km).

The room was a nice size for 4 people and it was clean. The view was spectacular and we could hear the water from the nearby stream. We enjoyed the meals in the restaurant and the waiters were hospitable.

Unassuming and unpretentious little boutique establishment that is located next to the river a few km downstream from the Rila Monastery. Nice restaurant with huge portions and good breakfast. Functional and quite spacious rooms with big balconies.

Some bits in the room needed fixing, eg the plug socket was hanging off. Only minor things though

Great location to start and end our trekking trip. We booked two nights (at the start and end of our trip) which meant they let us leave one of our bags with them. Good size room and very lovely view of the river. Food was excellent!!

Nice hotel for a short stay in the forest a few km from Rila Monastery. The room was as expected. Everything was clean. We liked the fish prepared on BBQ in the restaurant.
