Smell of cigarettes, ashtrays left in the room!!! The safe was broken and impossible to use. Poor selection of hot beverages. Only one toilet roll with the third left on it in the toilet. Burn marks on the chair. Dirt on the floor. Broken phone in the toilet. Sticky, difficult to operate basin tap.

Very comfortable bed. The location and staff were excellent. Acceptable value for money. Stunning view. Good sound and light proof. Good AC.

Hotel is obviously going through a refurbishment in and around the reception area, which is restricting, however doesn't impact on the restaurant or rooms. The prices in the hotel bar were inconsistent and an 'entry charge' of 5 lev for hotel guests was unusual. Plenty of better bars nearby, very well priced and would explain why the bar was virtually empty. A shame for the live entertainment who were having to play to an empty room.

Rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The location was perfect and easy to navigate back to. Lots of choice at breakfast although replenishment of food was sometimes slow. Staff were all pleasant, courteous and efficient.

Hotel indicated their restaurant on top floor served a buffet it was not available Oct 8,the likely do to the summer tourist season was over. Their restaurant was a la carte.

Location is good easy 20 minute walk from train station across the road is a great fod restaurant British owned with foods reasonably priced and with dish variety from dozen nations call Happy its a British chain nice outdoor patio sitting in pleasant weather.Hotel is a short walk of a few blocks to the massive seaside park and Varna beach area.

Great location and an iconic Varna hotel - make sure to get renovated rooms which give a nice modern feel, but you still get to stay in a Soviet time legend. Location is PERFECT to explore the city while higher floors offer quiet evenings and amazing views!!!

The building is extremely old and rundown. One is afraid to step unto the terraces, because they are old and look as if they’re going to crumble down. Although the flowers in the room, beds and bathroom were quite clean, the filters on the air con or the air in the room was a bit dusty.

The location is excellent. Right in the heart of old city of Varna and a short walking distance to the beach. The rooms are elegantly designed.

Slight issue with cleaning (found few wraps and paper next to the bed) and the shower room was not perfected e.g. slight timescale buildup.The restaurant on the top floor is very outdated which sadly outset the otherwise stunning view of the city. Pigeons nesting above decoration panels on the restaurant balconies and creating feathers and other rubbish all around the floor and the tables.

Considerably new rooms with very cosy beds. Good sound and light proof, so you can rest properly. The view from the room is simply breathtaking. Right in the city centre, two minutes from the beach and the excellent connections makes it perfect lokation. Rooms actually match the stars of the hotel!

The check in lady was probably one of the rudest persons I be ever met - this after 75 countries. Have to say though the manager was a super kind gentleman and seemed to be keeping a keen eye on things. Maybe she was the owner’s daughter ha. I still recommend,

It was not clean. I found bread sticks on the carpet, durty walls and some stains on the bathroom door. Room was not spacious, balcony needs new paint. The Reception button in one of the lifts was not working, so I need to change the lift to go out of the hotel. I informed the reception and rhey were aware, so it was not a new problem. There was a renovation going, which was not announced in prior to booking. I expected more for that price.

Excellent location. Close to the garden and beach, in the heart of the city center.

It does overlook a major pedestrian walk way and there are a lot of street musicians playing for change. They run until 12:00 pm and some are quite unfortunate. There is one drummer who plays along to cassette music -- we called him MacBeth because he murders sleep.

Good buffet breakfast with lots of selection. Was glad to be able to open window to balcony to allow fresh cool breeze at night.
