The hotel boasts an excellent location, nestled in the heart of Vidin, within easy walking distance of superb restaurants and the picturesque Danube River. The room was immaculate and peaceful, while the staff were exceptionally welcoming and accommodating.

no complaints - but beware that although there is a no entry sign at the road to the hotel the plaque in Bulgarian says except for hotel. This threw us momentarily but was not a problem.

Good location to walk to Baba Vida fortress, near good restaurants and Danube, parking at door, fridge in room, opening windows, breakfast buffet was good (though fried eggs a bit cold), comfy outdoor seating available, drinks fridge in lobby if bar unattended and good value for money

We have stayed at Hotel Dunav the location is near to all the places we like to go to, it has been over 4 year since we last stayed, and when we walked in to see all the same staff is a good thing, to me if the staff are still are working in the same hotel that says a lot, the first thing the receptionist said was thank you for coming back to the Hotel Dunav, we upgraded are room to an apartment, more space as we were staying a little bit longer this time, with all the rain that Bulgaria had, we had a terrible time with the mosquitos, even the locals were suffering too, we asked for a plugin light against the  mosquitoes, and there was one in are room within one hour, nothing is never to hard to make your stay more better, Drinks at the hotel bar we’re at a reasonable price, not too dear, and the food was fantastic, very good Chef top marks, all in all a great place to stay.

Unfortunately there was a big party in the restaurant next door so it was pretty noisy during the night. There was no balcony in our room.

The shower has no separation whatsoever, and flooded the (small) bathroom and everything in it.

1. During night time there was high humidity in the room, nevertheless with air conditioner opened everything was ok, minus the noise of the equipment. 2. We tried breakfast for one day and it wasn't very reach. Very basic stuff.

We really enjoyed our staying at Dunav hotel, the personel was very nice and helpfull, they even offered secure garrage for our motorcicles. We staid in a studio, therefore the room was very big. Bed was really comfortable. Heating equipment was available in room and beathroom. The hotel is near water and central green area.

The fact that there are no shower curtains which makes water splash in all corners of the room might turn ome people off. A pair of slippers, a floor mat or something to facilitate bathroom access after taking a shower would be very useful. A hair dryer would be nice.

Recently renovated, the hotel has very clean rooms. Free parking in front of the hotel. Although limited places we managed to find a spot on both days. The breakfast was alright. Good value for money overall.
