Top location. Exactly on the central square and near to the main shipping street. Next to metro station, easy access to airport . Very friendly and helpful staff on the reception. I needed a very early morning wake up and a taxi, and they provided it very correctly. I 've stayed a couple of times at Rila hotel , whenever I visit Sofia and for sure I 'll choose it again next time.

The room which still looks like 80 or 90 hotel . No coffee or tea or mini bar or locker in the rooms. Place looks still like an old 80/90 hotel.

The staff was not very helpful, we have waited in check-in counter for a long time in order to ask if we can leave our bags at the hotel since check - in time was 15:00.

The hotel is just located in the heart of Sofia and it is possible to go most of the attractions on foot. The renovated room was very clean and comfortable.

I went for the cheaper not renovated option and fair enough it is not vey modern. But it was totally fine for me, I even found it charming! Just mentioning it if luxury is important for someone.

Spacious room, bathroom and you even get a nice terrace. While it is not modern and luxurious it is clean and very comfortable. Location is absolutely perfect, just minutes away from the main landmarks and plenty of nice restaurants. Direct metro line from/to the airport.

There is a club right beside the hotel downstairs and makes noise all throughout the night pretty much every night and that prevents me from sleeping. Also the television had no English channels on it and even when I asked the staff to help me out to change it to English channels they said there is no English on the television whatsoever. I don’t think that’s great especially for tourists there should be different language options. Finally the hot water for when you take a shower takes about 5 minutes or even more sometimes to warm up.

The location is really good it’s right near the town centre. The room itself is comfortable and cosy and very clean.

The water pressure of the shower wasn’t great, the water temperature changed quite rapidly without any adjustments to the taps. We also had an allergic reaction to what we assumed were the sheets or the laundry detergent used on them (mattress and sheets were clean).

The ambience of the room was very nice, the space was used well. We also had a balcony so had a wonderful view of the city.

Staff very nice, old building, not exceptional breakfast but excellent location in the center of the city. I suggest it if you stay at the hotel just to sleep and then go out in the city.

The main cons is the staff. They could be more friendly. Welcome you when you walk into the hotel and say Goodbye when you're leaving. Ignoring the guests is not a professional at all and ruins the stay at the hotel.

Perfect.

Luxurious and comfortable hotel right in the center of Sofia where everything happens. Nice little square in front of the hotel, good for an early coffee at one of the caravans standing there.
