The house is in a very quiet area, surrounded by forest and a small river, providing a nice availability for short and long walks. The interior is lovely and cozy. We enjoyed the high-quality homemade food, which was plentiful. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay and were able to completely relax.

As many others mentioned, the road to reach Verbena is difficult (but definitely doable) :) It is a lot of ruts within stones and old asphalt, sometimes it is just stones and hard, clay road (?) - we needed to carefully maneuver using the 1st gear to avoid the bigger stones and deep unevenness (we had a rented Renault Clio 3). We are not much of people persons and shy away from spending time close to others, so it was a bit difficult, as Verbena seems to be a popular destination and there is a limited space at the property to hang around on your own - one will always encounter somebody. For a few days that's ok for us, especially when you can have those nice, long walks outside. Nights were calm and quiet, but the wooden structure of the house made all the morning commotion of other inhabitants very audible and because I am very sensitive to sounds, I couldn't sleep very well (even though I had my earplugs).

The owners of the place are nice, accommodating people. I had a phone reception and the wi-fi was enough for the rudimentary things like sending messages, but it took some time to send/receive files. My husband was using his paid data to work remotely. Food was very tasty, albeit we are used to bigger portions, especially for breakfast. Thankfully one can order some more food from the menu. We stayed just for a few days, so we were fine with that. It's nice that we were able to have a vegetarian choice of dishes (for the dinner included in the stay) - they were really thoughtfully prepared and tasted great. Sashko is a nice cook! We loved the animals - especially Berta who stole our hearts and who was accompanying us on our daily walks. But all the 4 cats were also wonderful to have around. It's very green, refreshing and cool there during the summer, and one can enjoy walking a lot among the amazing beech forest and along the mountain spring(s).

Not really that i haven’t liked but it could be improved, i would add a glass in bathroom to separate somehow the shower to the rest of the bathroom.

It’s in the middle of the mountains, no signal on your phone, it’s the perfect combination for relaxation. The food was amazing and the hosts were such nice people. We were with a small dog and they let us in the restaurant with him, amd everyone was so nice with us and with him. I totally recommend this location if you just want to relax.

It’s best to go with a big car, or a car you don’t care about because the ‘road’ to this place is horrible. Also, sometimes a weird smell was coming from the bathroom’s sewage.

Nice place close to nature, with friendly hosts and cats. The dinner included in the price was very good, but the breakfast was not sufficient if for example you want to hike all evening, but you can buy something else.

Yeah, so getting there is a bit hard, but it's really not that big of a deal if you go slowly. It's part of the adventure :-)

We loved everything about this place! The quiet, the yard, the cats (all four of them!!) and the people who run it - they were super friendly and helpful and Sashko's cooking is amazing! We've never felt more comfortable and welcomed anywhere else. They even gave us some fruits for the road when we left, really lovely cool people. Thank you both for everything, we can't wait to be back!

Very nice, clean accomodation, with amazing food and nice owners. Located in the heart of nature, with no other properties near or cars, perfect for relaxation, a beautiful, well mantained garden, just like n the pictures from Booking. The owners are very helpful and friendly and we really enjoyed the food here. The room was very nice, retro decor with attention to small details. Our dog enjoyed too the stay here, the owners made sure that he received daily love and delicious treats. We thank you for your hospitality :)

The last few minutes of the road were a bit hard but not steep just a bit extra bumpy.

Very quiet beautiful property, designed with a lot of taste. We enjoyed 2 nights on a family gathering and the hosts were more than welcoming and attentive and nice to just have a conversation with. The food was delicious and there were a few super cute cats in the patio my kids enjoyed caressing.

It was a nice stay in the middle of the forest with a river near by. The hosts are great, kind and helpful. They are cooking everything there with homemade products and herbs. If you want to get a real quiet rest, this is a place we highly recommend.

The road is a nightmare. Event they told on the site that the road is in bad condition, after raining the road is almost impracticable. I have never seen anything like this in my life and was very difficult to reach with motorcycle during the rain. In fact, during the rain the road is a big river, with hidden stones and mud.

Staff, breakfast and diner was super ok. The location is great and surrounding nature is amazing.

Breakfast portion was rather small. The room was next to the terras which made it sometimes loud. And the sound proofing of the room could be way better. If someone above you is walking with shoes you could hear every step very loud.

The staff was friendly. The portions of the including dinner where big. The location very quiet.
