“Char is very nice and hospitable. It’s great that she hosts live music and art. The hostel meets basic needs for low maintenance people. The common spaces have a homely feel. Common spaces are cleaned daily and staff are also nice.”

The cabins were a little on the small side but comfortable none the less and the external shower was excellent, although afterwards I found paint from the shower on my feet 😄”

Yvonne should have Michelins star, as she cooks the best breakfast on Vancouver Island. Incredible attention to detail with regards to all aspects of your stay. We were made to feel very welcome and even joined our hosts and their friends for dinner at a local restaurant one night. There’s plenty to do in the local area and lots of choice for good restaurants. We were stopping off in Port Alberni as part of a road trip from Victoria to Tofino. It was the perfect break en-route.
