Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We loved our stay at the Delta Vancouver Suites! The breakfast was fabulous so make sure you get that included. The staff were all super friendly and welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble. We just wish we could have stayed longer!

CanadaThe hotel was fine but the way the City of Vancouver has allowed the homeless situation to despoil the downtown was hard to fathom.
The location is excellent, close to so many iconic Vancouver sites. The room was very clean and comfortable. The Delta still has daily cleaning service and that was outstanding. We loved the restaurant. Breakfast was table service with items selected from the menu. Fast, friendly and fine food. We had a family dinner at the restaurant as well which was both a casual and fine dining experience. Front desk staff were also so helpful. Everything about the experience was a little above and beyond.

The good: - The room was spacious and had a water view (behind a building). - Nice room layout - 2 Huge televisions (In our room.) - The hotel was located near Canada Place. - Staff was very helpful. - Bed WAS very comfy. - Free water. (Is always a good thing.) - Room service was delivered quickly and not overly expensive.

United StatesA recliner in the living room would have made it an awesome. Also, a microwave to reheat leftovers would have been nice. Needs green space to walk dogs. The closest area was half-mile away. But available green space was more a Vancouver BC issue. But it would be nice if the hotel could have somewhere to take dogs to go potty.
A suite with a comfy couch in a living and separate bedroom with a king bed. Pet friendly! Convenient to train station and cruise ship pier.

United StatesBreakfast was supposed to be "included" in the rate, but it was actually an $80 credit at the restaurant. We booked the room for 4 people and not a single offering for breakfast was under $21, so no way to get under the limit unless everyone ate off the kid's menu.
Clean room and facility. Staff was great - especially the restaurant crew. Close to public transportation and Gastown.
