From the time we got off the train, the shuttle driver was super nice. We got checked in. Shuttle driver gave great recommendations. Stay was excellent. Breakfast was excellent. Perfect location. All around we look forward to going back and staying at this Hotel.

Having a kettle to boil hot water in the room would be nice. But the hotel does provide hot water at the dining area.

Receptionist that checked us in was extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good. Room was clean with incredible views of the mountain. Porter service to send luggage to the Wengen train station.

We were quite unlucky with our room view. We didn't pay for the mountain views - so we knew we would be facing the back of the hotel, but we got a room on the first floor, facing the concrete floor at the back. A bit disappointing for the price paid. Hotel seemed half empty, so would have loved staying at a higher floor. Would also have been great to have a small fridge and a kettle inside the room. We didn't have dinner at the hotel although we would have loved to try it. We totally agree that 25CHF is a great price for a four course menu, however we wished they offered a smaller version. Four courses was way too much food for us to have at night - we are never that hungry! We would have been super happy to have a starter and main or main and dessert instead. They could even charge more than half of the full price and it would be a win-win for all.

The place is traditional but modern at the same time, we didn't use the common areas, but they had a lovely and cosy feel. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of options to choose from. Our room had a great size, beds were super comfy and bathroom felt newly renovated! The staff were also very welcoming.

There was not one thing we did not like.

Our room was warm and comfortable with the best view we could ever ask for! The breakfast was fit for a king, and the dinner was fabulous, as well. The comforts of all the rooms and nooks in the main area were wonderful in the evening when we returned from skiing and wanted to relax.

The staff at dinner gave you no time between courses ie. Whipped your plate away the moment you set your cutlery down and then whisked the next course in a minute later. They should also have tea and cake available post skiing. V easy and cheap to do.

Location and room with view. V good hot water (some ski hotels run out). Also nice and quiet at night.

There was not anything we did not like!!

Rooms were spacious, clean and beds comfortable. We loved our balcony with amazing views. The dinner at Alpenrose was amazing, nothing better than a great meal after a long day of hiking!

The rooms are immaculately clean, the staff is helpful and polite and the breakfast buffet has so many great choices. I highly recommend the half board option. For 20 euros more you get a gourmet dinner with soup, salad, a choice of two entrees and dessert with a cheese course. The menu for September 30 was a clear soup with vegetable dices and a cheese tart with a small green salad. There were two choices for the entree: grilled sirloin steak with a pepper sauce, gratinated potatoes and tomato clomart, or a Swiss dish with pasta, potato, cream sauce, onion and apple mousse. Dessert was creme brulee and assorted cheeses from the buffet. These were the best dinners of my 2 week trip.

The room was a little small. It was unseasonably warm and we really could have used some air conditioning or a fan.

We loved the location. Looking out from our balcony we had the most incredible view of the Lauterbrunnen Valley. The included breakfast had plenty of variety. The 4 course dinner was delicious and was a great deal at 20 swiss francs. The staff was very helpful and the owner Daniel came in early to give us a ride up to the train station on the morning of our departure.

The top reason I chose this hotel was the shuttle bus service because I was traveling with my 75 year old mother. The room was big enough and had a nice balcony with a beautiful mountain view. The bathroom was nicer than expected. It's not fancy, but it's not the 80's drab tile nightmare that the website pictures make you hesitate. The deep tub was definitely a winner after hiking all day. The dinner is 20 CHF for a three course meal. Another winner. An elevator was nice to have since our room was on the 4th floor. I wanted a traditional feel (Swiss chalet style building, flowers on the windows, and wood everywhere inside) but also wanted modern comfort (updated and functional room and bathroom). This hotel delivered.
