Decor is romantic historical with a modern twist. Easy walk through old town and lake. Fantastic food for breakfast, dinner and especially profiterole!

The photos didn't quite represent the room, I knew it was an old building, but it was quite dated in style and didn't feel very cozy and comfortable. Quirks of an old building mean powerpoints weren't in very convenient locations. Next time I would upgrade to a better room.

Great location and good breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful. Elevator very small and slow but there wasn't ever a long wait for my 5th floor room.

Maybe not ideal for business travellers : small desk, no USB charge plugs. But good quiet location : that's important too for business travellers!

Classic style hotel, quiet and comfortable. Was perfect for us (couple staying in Zurich for a performance at the opera which is a three minute walk away frommtgr opera).

Kettle, coffee and tea should be standard and are not part of room equipment. Staff in Max Otto during the breakfast, should be more attentative to the guests.

I liked the location, train station is nearby, reception staff is great, specialy reception with roots from Cameron who gave me advices what to see in Zurich. Rooms are in retro style, you have feeling that time stoped, breakfast is very good.

A lovely, quite spacious, room with a splendid view of the snow covered mountains! Bathroom was good, great shower, loved the soaps/creams etc. - actually all of Zürich seemed to have the same room fragrance. Loved the breakfast, so delicious, which was situated in the bar/restaurant, loved the interior with the green tiles and the burgundy/pink walls. The staff were really helpful and charming. The hotel was close to everything and very close to Stadelhofen station which was great as we came for a concert in The Hall. All in all, we loved our stay and can really recommend Hotel Europe.

Beautiful, grand decor with an amazing location right near the lake! The room was clean and good facilities. Breakfast was amazing! The bed was a little hard but not too bad for 1 night. Staff was friendly and great early check-in and late check out times!

In the wardrobe there were just bits of dust on the floor. There were no sockets to charge my macbook, the sockets themselves were there, but they were thin, like for charging an iPhone, to be honest, it was the first time I've seen such a thing in a hotel. And there were no sockets near the bed...The bathroom was incredibly small, I am not big at all and even for me it was not comfortable, so better check the size of the bathroom before booking if you're a physically gorgeous woman or man. The room was pretty quiet, apart from the night when someone was fighting and arguing outside for quite a while, which was again strange for this location. The pillows are horribly horribly uncomfortable(, maybe because they are old...

The location is above the expectations, the room was quite cosy and calm, a little bit dark but in a sunny day it could be a preference, very good breakfasts and very friendly and attentive staff. I would love to stay one more time but maybe I need to try another grade of the room.

The bathroom was very small. The sink blocked the access to the shower, and the toilet was squashed into a space that was far too narrow. Even my much slimmer wife found it a tight squeeze.

The staff were fantastic from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. We also loved the location, absolutely perfect. The breakfast was delicious if not a massive choice.

I would expect there to be parking in such a quality hotel or there should be a parking agreement. We did not have any problems with self check-in, but there is no night receptionist. We arrived at the hotel late at night, we are worried.

No mini bar in the room which is highly inconvenient— no fridge for drinks and food over night, no coffee machine or kettle in the room, even no tea bags.

The pillows were too soft and the shower was not draining properly at some point.

The staff are really great and super helpful. They are really excellent too in their customer service—even gave us 2 bottles of wine because it was my birthday.

Very good option at the price we got it, specially considering Zurich is a very expensive city. Location is good, is very well connected, cozy, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was also very good.

The bed could be improved, the bathroom was too small, probably not 5 square metres.

The breakfast could have been more organised; a menu was not provided, however I was served a savoury rich breakfast; the buffet sweet choices were equally tempting.

Perhaps in summer a small fridge could be placed in room. We only had one chair with the table but the cleaner must have heard us as we passed a room with two chairs. When we came back to the room later we had two chairs.

Hotel was informative with clear and helpful information on getting to the property. Central location to rail and nice easy walk along river to city cbd. Nice cookedj breakfast.

I hear the hotel is being refurbished in the coming months which should pick up the vibe of the busy decor in some of the bedrooms.

Loved the location, close to all the city sights and the railway station. The breakfast was good and the staff very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the convenience in terms of what we'd planned on doing in Zurich.

Sockets were not located near the bed or any surface, there was only one next to the desk, it was a bit of a challenge charging our phone on full power. The bathroom door was stuck, you had to push it hardly in order to close it.

Friendly and helpful staff 🤩 Amazing breakfast, with fresh ingredients and a wide range of options. Perfect location, minutes from the lake and walking distance from transportation. Big room, bright on a high floor, nice city view, very comfortable bed. Comfortable shower with high pressure.
