How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Unfortunately, parking options are quite limited. So we were parking in a parking garage nearby 5-minute walk away. This is generally not a problem at all. But unfortunately there was a marathon event on the day of departure, so we couldn't drive the vehicle to the hotel to load our suitcases and purchases. I would have liked another solution from the hotel here.
A very good room service. Very attentive, flexible in terms of time. Even if we didn't leave the room until the afternoon, the room was perfectly prepared when we returned. Our room was equipped very well and always refilled. The location is great and very close to the city. Breakfast was good as well.

I came only for one day, in advance I asked to check me in from 2:30 pm, stuff replied “Depends on availability”. When I came I was waiting in a queue to check in for 30 mins, and when I was checking in at 3:00 pm, they asked me to get a room for disabled people or wait 20 more mins. I waited 20 mins more. I was a bit upset that my request wasn’t fulfilled and even more - I had to wait 20 more mins. For the short period of time I stayed in Geneva, it would be nicer not to wait for checking in. Also during check in no one explained to me that I have a ticket for free transportation. I received it only during checking out and only after I asked how to reach the airport, because the road was closed for the marathon. Small things, but they make the experience to lose the points.

The only slightly negative note which was not under the hotel’s control was that there was no parking onsite. However, we got a preferential rate at a public parking close by.
Very central, charming decor and the staff were excellent. Overall a very positive experience right in the centre of Geneva.

The staff are friendly and very helpful. Thanks to Hector at the front desk with assisting us with touring/sightseeing and figuring out the bus and tram lines! And to Alejandro for his assistance with booking train tickets to France. The breakfast staff were welcoming and provided a real home away from home feeling.

Friendly and helpful staff. Allowed us to check in early which was great. Nice bar and restaurant as part of the hotel as well. Great location.

The hotel is located in a great neighborhood, bus stops are ~5 minute walk, the Geneva Bus Station is 3 minutes walk, and the train station is 10 minute walk. It is also 2 minute walk from the lake with a lot of restaurants surrounding it. The staff were amazing and very helpful, always ready to answer any questions, I didn't face a single hassle while staying there. And on top of that, on my birthday, they left me a beautiful present in the room!

The sauna would be better left on to avoid waiting for it to heat up, it took 30 mins to get to proper temperature while we were sat in it.
Room was spacious and clean, the breakfast was excellent

Nothing comes to mind, it was really great.
Beautiful lobby/lovely hotel overall, staff very welcoming and very helpful. The location is ideal, central but yet very calm at night. We also very much appreciated the nice small attentions towards us and our baby, they've notably offered some nice soaps/creams, we found it really sweet!

We were next to the cleaning staff's offices which could get a little noisy. The rooms are a little dated, but still excellent.
Staff were friendly and provided excellent service. Rooms were large and comfortable, and there were great restaurants within walking distance from the hotel.
