This is not a complain but the bed was a bit squeeky. This is expected with old furniture. We didn’t mind it and loved the room not being modern as it gave us even a better feel of the place and period.

Great location, right in the middle of the medieval village in Gruyére with free hotel parking. The staff was wonderful and made us feel welcomed and at home. The room was beautiful with views of the mountain. The furniture suited the place and the era so we would recommend to keep it as it is. We had a good night’s sleep and a nice breakfast in the morning. We can totally recommend this place.

I do not remember when was the last time I gave 10 in all categories (and I travel a lot), but this place and its team really deserve it. Warm & cosy (even fire on the fire place), with excellent food and friendly staff... this place exceeded our expectations and became one of the highlights of the trip. The hotel is really in the heart of the town. It has a very nice vibe, and we particularly enjoyed the care of the staff to make our stay as good as possible. For example, we were relaxing at their lounge and one of the staff came and lit up the fire in the fireplace - to offer us a much warmer atmosphere. The breakfast has an excellent buffet with high-quality products.

The hotel is beautiful. The bedroom was spacious and the beds were super comfortable! The location is just magical, it even snowed, and the staff was super friendly. The breakfast is very versatile too. There is a shared room with a fireplace and free tea and coffee which is a delight. A great environment to unwind.

I recently had the pleasure of a 3-night stay at this delightful hotel in Gruyères, and it exceeded all expectations. Upon my late arrival, Emilie warmly welcomed me, making me feel instantly at home. She graciously provided a tour of the hotel, introducing me to the charming resident cat, "Peluche." The room, spacious and tastefully decorated, boasted a generously comfortable double bed. The bathroom featured herbal and plant-based toiletries, adding a lovely touch. The common area with an open fire provided a cozy retreat in the evenings, and the complimentary 24/7 coffee machine was a thoughtful perk. Transforming into a breakfast haven in the morning, it offered a diverse spread, including a delicious homemade cake. Guillaume's swift and diligent service during a necessary room change on the second night showcased the staff's commitment to guest satisfaction. The second room, with its stunning mountain views, mirrored the comfort of the first. Guillaume's recommendations for nearby skiing options for children were greatly appreciated. The culinary experience, highlighted by a delightful dinner featuring cheese fondue and white wine, was exceptional. The entire staff consistently exhibited kindness and a willingness to assist, enhancing the overall hospitality. I eagerly anticipate a return visit in 2024 and extend my heartfelt thanks to the entire team for crafting a truly memorable stay.

The heating was barely working, so the room was freezing cold. For a double-sized bed we had two single-size blankets. We had a very unpleasant time inside the room.

Very dated décor in the bedroom, bed was not comfy and the room was unbearably noisy as we were directly above the kitchen so there was constant noise from the pot wash, banging and clattering of pots and pans, and people shouting. We eventually refused to stay in the hotel as we couldn't move rooms and found alternative accommodation.

Beautiful old house in the town centre of Gruyere. Excellent breakfast, comfortable beds and very clean rooms. Very kind staff. Don’t miss the garden and the panoramic views in the back of the property!

There simply was no one at the reception, at all times. I was travelling the day of the check-in and afraid I might not be there on time to get my room key, because the check-in was only until 19:00 and I simply couldn’t seem to reach anyone by phone to demand a late check-in.

We loved everything about our stay! The bed was comfortable and there was a fan in our room which was especially helpful since we visited during a heat wave! The view from the room was absolutely breathtaking! The staff were all so kind and helpful! Our dinner and breakfast on the terrace was absolutely perfect. Would love to visit again!

We booked the room at last minute and love the location of the hotel. It is in the little medieval village. The Gruyère medieval village is smaller than I expected, not much to do in n the evening. You can visit the cheese factory and chocolate factory which are not inside the village.
