Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I have stayed at these three linked hotels several times over the last few years and staff have always been very helpful. I ate dinner later on at the hotel and, although the service was not as perfect as it might be, the food was very good and enjoyable, especially the Swiss red wine. The bed was comfortable and bathroom fine.

NorwayIt appeared 1 reception desk managed 3 hotels. I cannot fault the staff, they were helpful when present. I assume it is a management problem. There were times no one was at the reception desk.
The staff were very nice, especially in the breakfast room and the cleaning staff.

The location is perfect if you are traveling by train. The breakfast was a nice typical European breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable. All of the city trams are right there, too. It was easy to jump on the tram to the Christmas markets using the hotel free pass.

AustraliaThe entrance was upstairs which made it a little difficult to access with suitcases. Perhaps it's the Swiss way, but a number of staff seemed less friendly and too busy. The tea and coffee weren't replenished when our room was cleaned.
The hotel was very conveniently located close to the train station and tram hub. The room was clean and spacious and included bottled water, a coffee maker and kettle, which was appreciated. A staff member helped us with our bags when he saw us struggling. When we told Reception about a faulty hair dryer it was replaced within hours.
