How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The shuttle service was very useful, arriving and leaving in the dark mean a walk felt tricky in an unknown area.

Exactly what you need from an airport hotel. The shuttle is frequent, but it's possible to walk to/from the terminal if you can handle your own luggage. Comfortable and clean rooms, quick check-in process, and surprisingly lively hotel bar on the two nights we were passing through

I would have been happy to dine in the hotel if a restaurant was available, however there were a number of other restaurants available within easy walking distance eg the Royal Oriental Persian restaurant.
I liked the hotels close proximity to the airport. This allowed walking without being dependant on a shuttle bus.

At check-in, the receptionist initially only charged me for one night's city tax. However, the next morning, I was charged for the remaining nights of my four-night booking. This resulted in being charged twice for transaction commissions (from euros to Swiss francs). Furthermore, I didn't receive any apologies for the mistake, which I didn't cause but still had to pay additional fees/commissions for.

Room a little bit too small. Paper cups for hot drinks are a bit too flimsy.
Airport shuttle, close to a good Italian restaurant. Check- out time was extended which was a great help.

The bar and restaurant lacked any ambience but the food was reasonably good.

This is a standard airport hotel but is comfortable and convenient Easy walk from airport Beds are comfortable and rooms have windows which open. Rooms at the back are reasonably quiet

Location by airport was good, the shuttle service is very good and the room and bathroom was clean and comfortable. The room is a bit small however but was OK for our needs. The restaurant for dinner 1 night was fine. Appreciated the travel card for free transportation around Geneva with a bus stop nearby for a bus leading directly into town.

(1) We were with two daughters 6 years and 7 months old, with stroller and car seat. We had also 15 pieces of luggage including 3 bags of ski equipment in total about 350 kg. And… the stuff was observing how we were taking all the bags with the kids to the room on our own. That is despite we asked for help at the reception. In the end one man agreed to help when he saw how I am struggling to fit with ski equipment bags to the lift and blocking it for others. In the morning we agreed that he helps to take bags down from room at 6:30am to the shuttle bus. At 6:30 nobody came. I took all bags down myself to the entrance and most to the shuttle bus parking. I asked reception why nobody came and they called him and only with the last several ski bags he helped to take from entrance to shuttle bus parking. In the shuttle bus I was loading everything again myself with shuttle bus driver. The driver was helpful, but also swearing all the time and commenting that we had to rent a private shuttle for our bags. (2) At the reception there were several pearls working. But two of them were very arrogant. They behaved as if I am disturbing them and interfering with there important work with my silly question how to validate parking ticket to come out of hotel parking and made me waiting for others in the line for 10 minute although validation takes 2 seconds on a separate machine on there desk. (3) Same story repeated with question about WiFi. There was no information in the room, none in the card from the room (although respective lines for WiFi information were present). When approached reception there was again same arrogant person and he said wait. Thankfully other guests from restaurant saw this and helped and explained where to photo instruction and what to insert. (4) There were no coffee capsules and cream for coffee machine in executive room, had to ask for that separately.
The executive room was big enough for our family and it was clean. The location in proximity to airport is perfect since we arrived one day earlier to catch our plane early in the morning. The shuttle bus is very convenient. It is good there was a restaurant in the hotel, because we were tired and asked for meals to the room.
