Small things really... no towels or soap in the room the first night (an oversight it seems, but taken care of right away), it would be great if there was complimentary coffee/tea in the room, and a small fridge would have made things easier. No air conditioning, but I knew that and brought a travel fan. Overall, I loved this hotel and would absolutely stay here again.

Exceptional staff, incredible location, stunning views, comfortable beds, great breakfast (don't pass up 8ncluding breakfast in your stay! ), nice size room, and clean! Did I mention the amazing staff and outstanding views?! ;) The welcome tart was a sweet gesture too! Lovely hotel that stands tall at the end of what I called "Main Street". It's a short walk from the train station, or you can ask for someone to come get you. The restaurant has lovely food for dinner but it is a bit pricey (mind you, it's Switzerland.. everything is pricey! Haha). If you're looking for a base to tour around the Jungfrau region, this is it. The train to Lauterbrunnen leaves every 13 minutes and is a lovely ride... or even better, walk there! (Approx 1 hr). Take the cable car (2 min walk from hotel) up to Männlichen and make a day of hiking and sightseeing among the majestic mountains! Wengen itself is stunningly beautiful and sunny. When the rain comes, it seems to quickly leave, and the clouds clear fast. Lauterbrunnen is nice, but doesn't hold the same charm or have as much sun. Bottom line, stay here. You'll love it! (Sorry about the room picture quality, I forgot to take a good one! )

We loved everything really, but maybe some egg choices would have been nice for breakfast.

This was our first time in Switzerland and this hotel was the absolute perfect place to stay!! The views from the hotel balconies and terrace, the charm of the hotel, and the wonderful staff could not have been better. We enjoyed spending time with our family on the terrace and found the views to be amazing and the hotel (with its very helpful staff) to be such a comfortable place. This hotel made it a dream vacation for our family!

I loved my stay, not a single thing to complain about.

The hotel is very close to the train station and they have a mini car to help you with luggage. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful for whatever request you have. We had a very pretty room on the 4th floor. Breakfast was simply amazing! Dinner is also very good

The stay here exceeds my expectation. Booked one night for the room with luxury view. On the lovely beautiful balcony u get superb view of mountain Jungfrau and the town of Wengen. It’s a hotel plus restaurant, really like the wooden touch & deco of the place. Breakfast ok too, loved their pastry

No fan or aircon so during the hot days it was pretty hard to sleep. There are doors which you can open up to the balcony but I could hear noise through them while shut so I think I would of struggled with the noise particularly if the doors were open. Also pillows are like sleeping on a shirt - some people may like their pillows flat but I would need with much more filling. No kettle or coffee machine in the room, though there is one available in the kitchen/restaurant on the bottom level. Found the breakfast service to be a bit unfriendly as if the server didn’t want to be there, but still a good breakfast. They have a board for you to hang your key by the front door of the hotel as you go out for the day which I did not think was very secure especially when Reception are not there the whole day. In other hotels I’ve stayed in, the keys are kept with Reception behind the counter.

Italian restaurant directly behind hotel plays very loud music outdoors in summer, music lasts from roughly 7 pm to 1030 pm, and is loud even in hotel rooms with doors and window shut - so no rest during those hours.

Outstanding location with balconies facing the mountains and the Jungfrau. Spectacular. Staff at reception especially helpful and friendly.

Our one major disappointment is the Schoenegg is not currently offering “fine dining”. We enjoyed the dinners immensely on a trip several years ago. In speaking with owner, we learned it has been very difficult to hire a chef. One is expected later this summer.

Comfortable setting with great view of the mountains. Selection of breads, meats and cheeses was excellent. It would have been nice to have eggs beyond soft or hard boiled, but many other hotels on our trip also are not offering a selection of hot eggs and meats.

This was my second stay at this wonderful hotel. The view is really exceptional and the location is easily accessible from the train station. Our room was super comfortable and the breakfast and dining was first class. I have been to Wengen in both the summer and winter and while both are beautiful in their own way the summertime is exceptional with the lush green hills and the majestic glaciers of the Jungfrau. Cannot wait to return!

Everything was superb. We stayed here for one night and upon arriving immediately wished we had booked for longer. Great breakfast, wonderful dinner and great service. Perfect location and breathtaking views. The hotel itself is gorgeous.

Breakfast was the only thing that could be improved. If possible, other egg dishes would be nice but we realized that the staff was minimal. That said, the staff were excellent and so friendly. We also loved sitting on the terrace in the morning, afternoon and evening! The terrace is a beautiful place to gather with the most amazing view! It was nice to meet some of the other guests and to also have quiet time outside. thank you for making this a memorable vacation!
