Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GermanyThere is not a lot of positive things I can say about the room. Unfortunately I didn´t have the the front part looking out over the castle, as I had expected (this happens if you are on the 4rth floor, check with the hotel, see images attached of the balcony area which I would have loved to stay in), but it is probably due to the type of room you book. The room itself need a renovation, and perhaps a simple peace of art to cheer it all up. If you are like me and you only have to sleep in the room, it is a great stay, however, if you also want to enjoy and relax in the room, I would book an upgrade or go somewhere else. The rooms are very noisy, so you need to watch out if you are sensitive to noise.
The castle and the location was definitely the best of the stay: the breakfast had fresh fruits, a variety of cheeses, fresh eggs, the BEST croissants, nice coffee and an option for yogurt. The castle had beautiful gardens to sit and read in, and the chapel was free and open to visit. If you take it upon yourself to enjoy the gardens and the Beautiful Location you will definitely have a nice stay. The staff was EXTREMELY friendly, thank you very much! There is sustainable soap in the showers, and the water pressure is low, also contributing to sustainability (not great if you have long hair though).

The main building was a lovely castle but the rooms were in an annex and very small. We had to walk some distance or use taxis to the station or town, but it was a pretty walk.

SwitzerlandUnfortunately, we faced issues that made us not appreciate the location nor the hotel to its value- a mistake in the room allocation (single instead of double), which was solved after a discussion and a call, and a very rude attitude upon request to have dinner on site for which the hotel apologised for. Hopefully, a one-off! And we had a great dinner in Morat instead.
