The distance to Bern , much longer then indicated on your side. One has to take the train to get back and forth.

Just minor points: Lighting in the bedroom was dim, with no bedside light on one side. of the bed. Electrical sockets difficult to access (underneath a low shelf). Very narrow door to shower.

Staff were helpful, friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was very good. Great coffee! Good, informal, restaurant. Easy parking.

Unfortunately the hotel doesn’t qualify for the free Bern transport ticket which I had thought it would. The hotel is located in Stettlen which is a 15min train ride away and completely hassle free… but it did mean having to spend just under 30chf for my trip which I didn’t factor in. I had spent 4.80chf to get to the hotel only to discover there is a multi ticket which works better and gives me 6 trips for 25chf, so I had to buy that as well for the remainder of my stay. It would have been better to know about that beforehand so I could buy the right ticket but apart from that, my stay was pretty cosy.

I liked the fact that it was easily accessible by public transport and the location was incredibly quiet and gave me inn vibes. Also the shower gel they provide smells divine and the water pressure in the shower was amazing. At first glances the place does take you aback, especially if you’re expecting something fancy but overall I was pleasantly surprised and would for sure stay again. The only person I met that helped check me in - Mayer Hoffer (not sure if I spelt that right) - was also Incredibly friendly and helpful during my stay.

Very old school. Touch of a Youth Hostel and for that the price is too high. More fresh ingredients and eggs would be nice at breakfast. Very noisy between the rooms. Pics look much better than reality.

Room was on the third level, assessable only by stairs. The room temperature was extremely on the hot side, made it difficult to sleep. I would never stay at this hotel again. When a property does not provide Lifts to upper floors, stairs make it prohibitive, especially for someone like me over 80 years young. The property listing should mention stairs must be dealt with.

The hotel staff were pleasant. The breakfast was above average.

Virtually no WiFi in the room, with less than 170 Kbps, compared to the high speed WiFi in the main building. While the hotel had a main building, we just got a room in a secondaty building, which beside the poor WiFi, looks like of lower quality, when compared to the main building

Nobody's of staff present in hotel Sunday. I cannot comunicate with nobody that I need to leave early Monday morning. I try to call the number but nobody answer. So, Monday morning I leave with no chance to pay and no breakfast. Furthermore, also If I wrote 2 message to the staff for the payment, they tray several time (12) to take money from my card. My bank suspected a froud and it blocked my card, with great inconvenient for me. How is possible that an hotel do not give relevant communication to the client? How is possible that an hotel is closed with client inside? How is possible that an hotel do not answer to the phone? And If I had an emergency or a problem? No staff present. This is absolutely incortect

Beds were cots pretending to be single beds. Lighting was poor and from the 70’s. No outlets to plug in any devices. None. No internet even though they said they had it. Not even a little. Furniture was straight out of poor college days. No air, no fan, no ventilation.
