How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Staff need to be more professional especially the front desk “ receptionist “ I’ve got bad experience with the lady in my last day of stay and since the beginning she’s not behaving good .

The receptionist “ the lady “ she was very rude . I would’ve give the hotel. Good rate if the customer service was good but unfortunately I was disappointed by the behavior of the receptionist” le lady “ she was telling me if you want to change the hotel you can go now we are not refunding anyway in very bad way . While I was just asking if I can extend the day at the same room . She could be more polite and professional but unfortunately.
The location is perfect the metro station it’s just in front of the hotel

Great location, walking distance from train station and close to tourist attractions. Breakfast was well stocked and fresh. Room was quite small and basic, but clean and had all the required amenities.

The only thing would be the shower. Hot but it’s a retro fit in the bath. Ok for a couple of days.
Excellent location,10 minute walk to Christmas market. Opposite train station. Very convenient for everything.

Our room was modern minimalistic style which we really liked and felt comfortable with. The size of the room was just good enough for two. The location was super convenient as it is close to tram station, metro, hotel is in a center of Geneva, walking distance to the lake and Jet d’eau. Staffs are polite, vigilant with any request and respond to requests immediately.

It was very hot in the hotel so had to sleep with window/balcony door open which meant it was a little more noisy.
Great location right near the train station. Had a single room with balcony which had ample space for one person. Reception staff were super friendly.

The bed wasn't comfortable. The light wasn't strong enough.
The location was so perfect. the staff was so nice and cheerful . It was very clean.

The room temperature was hard to regulate - at times the room was too hot. Not a lot of information was given by the receptionist at check-in, didn't understand the need to have the kettle and coffee in the bathroom and not on the desk in the bedroom - seemed to be a bit of a health and safety hazard having so many glass cups (2 coffee glass mugs and 2 water glasses).
Excellent location (across the road from the train station & short walk to Lake Geneva), staff very friendly and helpful, spacious bathroom, TV with channels from various countries, free wifi, good continental breakfast with some hot options (16CHF - food value considering it was a buffet), good shower pressure, hotel lift was modern and was very quick to arrive when requested, housekeeping was daily and room came with a fridge which was handy for storing swiss cheese until our departure.

We did not try the breakfast but the location was great we could go around the city really easily. The room was confortable even though we had some noise coming from the room next to us but nothing too bad !

It would be nice if the receptionist is more friendly, informative and helpful with the guest enquiry.
The location is excellent. It is 3 minutes walk from the Geneva Main Train station. There are restaurants, shopping mall @ Manorland and convenience shop @Coop within 5 mins walk. The room is average size, clean, comfortable with an electric kettle, hairdryer, and a mini fridge. There are 2 elevators for big luggage and elderly. Though no gym or pool.

The station precinct has a slightly sketchy reputation but I didn't see anything untoward.

- Location of hotel was very convenient if you are coming by train - Rooms are of a normal size as you would expect. still comfortable for 2 people. but could be trickier with a lot more luggage - Staff at counter was very helpful in recommending stuff we do to explore the city. - Great that there is a kettle in the room ( not something to be expected of all hotels)
