Little bit outdated, but just enough for spending the night. If you're in the city whole day, it doesn't mind. The room was clean though. Pretty close to main train station. We arrived early, I asked for earlier check in, it was confirmed but when I asked if our room is ready they said they let me know and they didn't. No big deal, we had no big luggage to carry with us and we checked in on proper time, but it would be more pleasant :-) Otherwise communication was ok, rather quick.

Just for close future travellers - I know that is no problem of the hotel, but there were construction works in the street (no tram service now) in time of our visit. They work at night also, so that was pretty inconvenient. So be prepare to bring some ear plugs! Or check Vienna public transport service for how long the works will last.

Frühstückspension Helmhof

Positive section of review
The pension is located in a farm in a countryside neighborhood, and is easily reachable with the train from Salzburg, or even walking in 45 min. The family who takes care of the pension is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great, with natural products from surrounding farms. The room was very comfortable and perfectly clean. I highly recommend.

Spacious apartment, perfect for a group of up to 6 people.. Location is amazing, quite neighbourhood and 30 min to Vienna city by public transportation. Even by night arriving with night buses/trains is very easy.

Right now there are some constructions in front of the house, not super noisy but a bit annoying if you want to sleep until late. Also the dinning table is not really well positioned in the house, but not a big deal.

We loved location as everywhere was walkable. Transport links close. Small green market close with plenty of places to eat. We really liked it. Apartment lovely in size. It had everything needed for a short stay.

The thing I didn't like were pillows. They were horrible. Filled by chep cut sponge inside. Pls can you buy something better please. It would be amazing stay if you do. Also, bedding had holes in it. However, it was clean. The main entrance door was left open so anyone could get to it. On the day we left apartment, which was at 6am we found a young teen couple sleeping on the stairs, on the ground floor. Pls improve these few things and place could be really exceptional.

The hotel is a bit far away from the city center. Upon check-in the receptionist told me I had booked for two people even though I had booked for one person.
