Positive section of review
The size of the rooms were large and I liked that there was a balcony. The housekeeping staff did a good job keeping the room and bathroom clean every day of my stay. Though the hotel isn't in a good area, it's close to a Metro Station and St. Catherine's Street.

The walls were extremely thin, likely due to it being an older condo repurposed into a hotel. I could hear people talking loudly, a baby constantly crying and furniture being moved in the unit above me at all hours, as well as constant noise from the hallways. The rooms are also very outdated with worn out, ripped furniture. The hotel advertises on-site parking, however, they are not up front that there is a 5 ft 6 inch height restriction and that it is underground, therefore, unless you're driving a smaller-sized sedan, many cars won't fit. The area the hotel is in isn't safe at night and the public parking lot the hotel recommended wasn't open. The other public lots close by are not secure (outdoor next to low-income housing with no security and people openly using drugs in the lot, etc) and were several blocks away, which was stressful for having a rental car that we wanted to avoid damaging. Breakfast was advertised, however only a few weeks prior to my stay, I received an email that it was no longer being offered and that a $15 rebate per day would be offered upon arrival. This was frustrating as it didn't leave enough time to find another hotel with a good price and breakfast close to my arrival, but I decided to keep the reservation. and accept the rebate. When I arrived and inquired about the rebate, a manager at the counter who overheard very rudely and abruptly advised that it would not actually be offered upon arrival (despite what their written offered stated), but that booking.com would be issuing the refund as payment was made through them. This information was not in the email. When I inquired with booking.com after checking out, they weren't aware of this and had to repeatedly phone and email the hotel for information. It took three weeks to finally get the refund. I was extremely disappointed with how this was handled.

omar and nikki were amazing. very accommodating and were able to help us with anything we needed. the place came with some cute snacks. great location and great value! definitely recommend to anyone looking for a stay in halifax :))

The master ensuite and general living space was lovely. It was very modern and tidy. The small touches throughout the condo made the space very luxurious.

The second bedroom was much more cramped than what the picture showed. It might be a challenge for those who need space to get in and out of the bed. Because of the giant windows in the master bedroom and the thin blinds, it was a bit on the brighter side when sleeping. Darker or blackout blinds would have made it extra perfect .

The facility had very few people staying there. Our fireplace was not working. Two of the staff tried their best but no success. There were no towels for the hot tub. We sent a message and some were delivered. The sink off of the bedroom was plugged. We stopped by the office, and someone arrived to fix it in 20 minutes.

I found the person at the front desk to be rude, and not very helpful. I couldn't get my television to work. I was told that I would have to keep pushing the buttons until it worked. The front desk person told me that he wasn't coming help to show meet how it worked.

Oh I meant to tell you but we were in a rush. The ‘skin’ on the bathroom door was loose and if someone happens to catch it w something it might come off. It can easily be fixed by putting a bit of PL-Premium on it and clamping it until it adheres. This should work and it’s a 5$ fix. I’d of done it if I hadve had more time. You can also shoot it w a couple brad nails, but since the skin is thin they will probably pop right through without the PL.
