Positive section of review
The room was delightful with a four-poster bed and a view into the garden. The heating system was great and the bathroom was good. The hotel has that personal touch typical of German Pension accommodation. It is built into the wall of the city so, the room opens almost directly onto the outer walls. The basement includes a private wellness area with sauna, bath and UV beds available for an additional 30 Euro.

Room was ready well before check-in, staff were very polite and able to speak English (my German is average) The location was excellent and very easy to find from the train station The breakfast was excellent with so much variety of foods and drinks

I really liked how the room is decorated, as well as the fact that there is a playground for children. Although the playground is extremely small, the children only stayed there.

Go to hotel when I am in the area; easy to find and access, basic evening meals but good value and bar is fine. A full service restaurant would necessarily be more expensive.

This hotel is perfectly good for a short stay but lacks the amenities for something longer. For me breaking a journey to the channel coast, it’s just what I am looking for though.

The hotel bar was closed quite a lot during our stay for private functions. Had to order drinks from the hotel restaurant to have in the lobby. Not a big deal but would have been since to be able to sit in the bar.
