We loved our 3 nights at Penelope's. This is the place for those who want to step back and do things a little differently and have an adventure. The house is on a hillside between Hydra port and Kamini. You need to be happy walking up and down through Hydra's gorgeous laneways. The house is basic...but that's what we wanted. The kitchen has a camp gas stove and small fridge. We cooked simply. The handheld shower was good and there is a washing machine. There are 2 terraces to catch the sun and breezes. A shady almond tree and stunning bougainvillea and the sounds of village life...roosters, kids and mules. The main living room/bedroom is upstairs over the kitchen. You need to like the neighbourhood cats! We made lots of happy holiday memories at Penelope's. It was the Greek Island experience I was looking for.

We love it. One of our best vacations. The location as you can see in the pictures is a dream. 2 minutes walk to the beach, tasty little cute tavernas right on the beach with great views of the sea. Very quiet location, you can only hear the sound of the sea. But the hostess deserves special mention. We have never experienced such a courteous and friendly hostess. She had an answer to every question and always tried to take care of our well-being. We would come back just because of her. An absolute insider tip and recommended to everyone!

The property was very centrally located in Corfu Old Town and easily accessible to all of the sightseeing, restaurants and bars. There was a small but well-equipped supermarket around the corner. The host was excellent and really helpful. The area in which the apartment is situated isn’t quiet in the evening, which we liked. If you want silence at 10pm that may be more of a problem. It was quiet overnight so sleeping was not a problem.

My only criticism is that the bed that we used was too hard but that is my personal preference.

Large rooms, balcony, kitchen appliances, very good air conditioners, high resolution TV, vibrant environment with a bakery, grocery, and minimarket nearby, many good restaurants and bars around, night live, city's places of interest at a walking distance.

The hotel environment can be noisy (but you can just close the windows). Internet connection is not always stable.

The apartament was nice. It was clean. There are a little kitchen where you can cook. There was a market right on the street on wednesday. The location was safe to walk around. Metro and bus stops to the city center were in walking distance.
