The cabins are in a nice garden setting away from the bustle of town yet close enough to town to walk the mile and a half or drive into town. We enjoyed the front patio and hammock as well as the pool area.

Nice, very clean and open premise. Perfect view of the volcano from the front of the villa and from the large, clean pool. Staff was always friendly and helpful, the communication via whatsapp was seamless. We would stay there again and can recommend it.

Just having to leave. It was such a nice place.

The property was very nice, lots of green grass and spectacular flowers and plants. The units all face Arenal and they are arranged for privacy. The location is great as there are restaurants close by and hot pools are a short drive away. Booking activities through the hotel was easy and the front desk suggested lots to do in the area. We really enjoyed our stay at Villas Vilma.

The bathroom could be renovated as the showerhead broke during our stay. However, it got fixed by the staff very quick.

The location is an absolute treasure! Lovely little two apartment villas which were spacious enough for two people. Beautiful pool area and a fantastic green garden with a fabulous view of the vulcano!

We stayed at Hotel Villas Vilma 4 years ago and were apprehensive about coming back as we didn’t want to spoil our memories from before. We needn’t have worried though as it’s still exactly as it was, with the same high standards and helpful staff. Amazing amount of bird species visit here and most can be viewed from each of the bungalow verandas, overlooking the garden. This time the cloud wasn’t playing ball but the view of the volcano is excellent when not covered by cloud. We have stayed in more expensive accommodations than here but the standard is as good as it gets, in my opinion and exceeds many of the more expensive stays we’ve had. Whether you want to relax and watch the birds or use it as a base for exploring the area, I would not hesitate to recommend a stay at Hotel Villas Vilma. It Matt (from England)

If you do not have a car it is about 20-25 mins walk into town. Fine for us but good to know.

A beautiful place set back from town so feels like a peaceful haven when you arrive. Gardens are immaculate and there is a great pool area for relaxation after trips. Hummingbirds and lots of other birds right on your patio. The staff were really helpful and assisted us with bookings and telephone enquiries.

We could've used some drawers for our clothes or more hangers but everything else was great!

Nice clean rooms, beautiful pool and jacuzzi arwmea, really helpful owners and great location in the quieter side of La Fortuna slightly outside the centre. There's a fantastic soda directly opposite which serves lovely food at a really good price.

Absolutely nothing. It was perfect.

The location is great. Not too far from town and far enough to feel you are somewhere special. There are plenty of restaurants around the area for dinner too (you don’t even need to go to town to find somewhere excellent to eat: highly recommended the soda opposite Villas Vilma and the Caribbean restaurant were two favourites). The amount of birds is incredible. We were able to watch toucans, humming birds and many others from our balcony. When the weather was nice we also had ana amazing view of the volcano. The staff were so friendly. Adriana in particular was so welcoming and lovely. The facilities were fab: hot tub with a pool and the rooms are equipped with everything you need, especially a new batch of coffee every day. I would stay there again. It’s a wonderful little oasis of greenery and wild life just outside of town.

Only downside would be that it was a tad far from town, about a 20-25min walk but obviously you then gain the beautiful views!

We had a lovely stay here, the room was big, had an AC and a fan, the pool and grounds are beautiful. The best thing about the hotel is the helpful staff who organised all of our activities, travel and helped us set up a SIM card. Sadly we didn’t get to see full view of the volcano as it was cloudy but it is a great location to see it and about a 20 min walking into town or a short taxi. Would recommend!
