  “Easy-to-find location, near the center of Idar with grocery and dining options nearby. Staff was pleasant and helpful at checkin. There was a secure place to leave our bicycle overnight. We were directed to call the emergency number in the morning to have someone unlock the kiosk where the bike was stored. This went about as I expected, requiring a little patience as the desk is not staffed in the morning. Kudos to the chef in the dining area who helped us when no one was answering the emergency number on the first few rings. The room was very big. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast had all the offerings and pleasant staff.”

  “The host Ms. Zengin is absolutely wonderful, she is extremely helpful and courteous. Quaint building opposite the Mineral Museum within a short walk from the train station. Rooms are spacious and bright, beds are very comfortable. Good breakfast buffet in the lovely spacious breakfast lounge. I would wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Schlossschenke.”
