Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandThe only small minor things was that the credit card machine was not working, so had to pay in cash.
Check-in was very smooth and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. They gave us a map showing where the medieval area of the city is located and also the fine art museum. The room was quite large and the beds were comfortable. Spacious bathroom and very clean. Reception stored our bags after check-out until 8pm when he reception desk closes. There is a fridge near reception which sells cold drinks and chocolate, which is handy. The breakfast was very good with a wide variety to choose from, including pancakes, fruit, yoghurt, lots of choices for salads and meats and tea/coffee. Within walking distance of the main attractions and also the central train station. We would definitely stay here again, as it was very good value for money, especially with the breakfast.

We are a family of five and stayed at Art Hotel Anna Liberty for 5 nights. The breakfast buffet plentiful. The staff working the reception desk very helpful as they directed us to many places of interest in the city. We had a great time in Bremen. one thing that i really liked was the coffee machine at the breakfast buffet dining area which makes every kind of coffee and is available to the hotel guests from morning till 8 in the evening at no cost. There is also a fridge with alcoholic beverages and other snacks and refreshments available 24/7 in the lobby of the hotel. Another important factor which cant be overlooked was that the staff spoke perfect english because we don't know much German.

FinlandThere was one negative thing. The big TV (Grundig) in the room was new and smart, supporting YouTube and Netflix, and even its remote control had a dedicated Netflix button. Netflix worked fine, but unfortunately I hadn't find a way to log out from my account. OK, you can logoff later, right? But already on the next day there was some new login to our Netflix from Skåne, Sweden (I have a screenshot). Then we've changed the password. Please investigate TV accounts situation. And maybe remind future guests to logoff from their accounts (providing some instruction on how to do that).
Location is great — very quiet, close to park and canal and not far from both city center and railway station. Rooms were really big and well equipped. We had two TVs in our rooms, one of them was impressively big (we hadn't try another). There were enough windows, they were big, although the sight out of them was not very impressive (backyard), but it was quiet. All the staff was nice to us. Breakfast was great (we were on Easter, and breakfast was Easter themed).

LithuaniaHotel has an elevator, but not sure if it is accessible without walking a few stairs. For us it was not a problem, but check with the hotel if this is important to you. If traveling in colder weather, do not forget to turn on the radiator, because it can get cold without it.
Room was clean and comfortable. The location is perfect - easy to reach from the airport (tram ride+short walk), close to the center (5 on foot) and to the train station (8 min on foot). Even though it is relatively close to the station, the street is very quiet and nice. Staff was very friendly and spoke perfect English. If in need, the hotel has a room to leave luggage in.

United StatesA real gem, only a few minutes walk from the old center of Bremen, and the walk itself was very quaint and easy. The whole experience was positive, from the friendliness of the entire staff to the cleanliness of the lobby and the room, and the comfort of the bed. The hotel is very convenient to a lot of great places in Bremen, to include a short walk to the main train station. Definitely a great value for the money!

FranceGreat location, just a short walking distance from the city center (around 5-10 minutes walking to the main touristic places). Next to the river/park. The staff has been very friendly with us, both at the reception and the restaurant. Excellent and fresh homemade breakfast. Big portions (buffet was closed because of sanitary restrictions, but the staff kindly offered refill of food and beverages on demand). Family room was huge (basically consisted of 2 separate bedrooms !) and with a small balcony. Hotel has few free parking facilities and decorated with style. Highly recommend if visiting Bremen !
