Wish we could have checked in sooner after a long flight from San Francisco. It would nice for the hotel to provide additional luggage racks on request. We had just one.

Hotel Splendid is in an excellent location- just a block from two useful U lines and several tram lines. Away from the big crowds but so convenient. A charming courtyard in back was a quiet space for a drink (also available in the lovely ground floor lobby) or breakfast (not included on our rate but fairly good value for money).

The only thing that might have improved our stay was if tea and coffee-making facilities had been provided in the room.

A lovely building, charming and full of character but with all modern conveniences. Spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable. We adored the beautiful paintings and furniture in our room. Excellent transport links and an easy walk to the main sights.

Super location! Very well situated. Walking distance to the old city, but also very close to the English Garten, and the Eisbach etc (it's another part of the city). A little old-fashioned but very charming and clean hotel (and rooms) the staff is very kind.

Beautiful cozy boutique hotel, decorated with art and books. Friendly helpful staff and overall great atmosphere . The location is amazing - quiet street in the very heart of the city that on one side takes you to Maxmonument and famous broad luxury shopping street, and on the other side it takes you right to the National museum and art quarter. The single room was cute and clean, and even had a balcony where I enjoyed my breakfast coffee. I enjoyed my stay a lot, thanks!

The television had no English speaking channels

Lovely hotel with old world charm. The room we booked into was elegant and had a small balcony that overlooked the garden. We enjoyed the location which was close to shopping, restaurants and the christmas markets but was on a quiet street. The staff was friendly and helpful

Small minibar would have been nice also ability to get breakfast later for people like us who were on jet lag. (First day was great but an exception).

Loved the person at front desk who greeted us upon arrival and produced a nice breakfast despite it being past the hours. Room was nice and clean. Good Breakfast in charming room. All felt like from another (better :) time

Nothing really. It was perfect. I know some guests felt the bathrooms were small and I agree they were compact but definitely usable - and the plumbing was excellent with very hot water and good pressure.

I really like the decor and the ambiance of the hotel. It was on a quiet but well connected street. The room was a good size. I loved the guest sitting room.

This hotel is a lovely little place that is tucked away in a side street off the main MaximilianStrabe which is very fancy! It is only a short walking distance into the central area of Munich, and as we were visiting the Christmas Markets, this was handy. It is also right across the road from a S-Bahn underground train and also has a tram stop at the front door, so getting around is very easy from this hotel. They also have a very cute little sitting room and bar near reception which is great to have a drink and relax. Staff were also very helpful.

Lovely atmosphere - a real boutique hotel! Central but a bit hidden as well; some very nice restaurants around. I had a nice single room and enjoyed that here was a lounge with bar in the lobby, decorated seasonally with a gorgeous Christmas tree. Very friendly staff!
