Isolated area, roads around aren’t great. We ended up with a burst tyre.

The bedroom was a great size for 3 people.

For us it was too remote and the journey to get to it was hairy to say the least.

Fabulous design, nice spacious room with amazing views.

Just a couple of minor comments. Our room looked straight out to a small lawn and patio. It would have been nice to have access to this from our room to sit outside and enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of our room. Food for thought perhaps for the future. The swimming pool also closed very early at 6pm so we were not able to make use of this.

Drimsynie Estate is clearly a great place for all ages be it a large family or a romantic couple. So much to do and incredible views. Staff are so friendly and helpful and glad to answer any queries you have. Check in was brisk and easy. Our room was spacious and immaculate with plenty of great extra touches like the coffee machine and soaps etc. Restaurant was great value with a delicious Roast on a Sunday with again wonderful views while you ate.

Poor management. No night duty manager or reception after 6 o'clock, in the event of an emergency?. Bedroom, no telephone, restricted opening of window lacking fresh air, no privacy curtains, bed and pillows very hard and uncomfortable, TV, restricted to number of channels (10),

Location and staff, restaurant and menu very good.

It would be lovely to have a spa centre rather than the jacuzzi being in the main pool. Somewhere to relax.

The whole experience was very good. Had food in the restaurant on the evening which was also excellent. The views were spectacular. All the staff were super friendly and helpful.

Other than the issue with the breakfast price, Drimsynie is a fabulous place in a stunning location.

The only issue we had, which would make me seriously think about not using booking.com again, was that when we booked it said that breakfast was available and that we could pay at the property for a price of £9.95. We assumed that meant for £9.95 per head we would be able to have whatever we wanted for breakfast (the same as if it had been included in the price). When we arrived for breakfast we explained that that was what our booking had said and the waiter said we could have anything we wanted. However, it later turned out we were supposed to pay full price. This is very misleading on the behalf of Booking.com and disappointing that despite enquiring before we ordered that we were then misled/misinformed by a member of Drimsynie staff. He did take 25% off, however that was still more than we were expecting to pay.

The rooms are lovely. Breakfast was very good. Dinner was good.

This is just a personal thing, but the mattress was far too firm for me! However, I do like a really soft mattress and I'm sure most people would find it comfortable.

The location was stunning, but what made it so special was the staff! They were not only unbelievably helpful, but they genuinely seemed to care and enjoy their jobs. We never experienced one member of staff who didn't go above and beyond!

For the money being charged for the trip, breakfast should be included in the hotel stay. No omelette on the breakfast menu? Really??

When checking in it would have been helpful if they had told us times for things like breakfast and checkout. They just told us our room number and how to get to it but no other helpful details about our stay. The bedding was stained but clearly washed. The rooms were roasting hot! We went when it was around 0° outside and we kept the window open 24/7 and it was still ridiculously hot. Food was okay but nothing special.

A beautiful location! The rooms were nice and modern. Good shower. Great facilities on site, especially if you have a family. Pool was great, not too busy in the evening. We will definitely be back but maybe look at the cabins next time. Staff always happy to answer our questions.

The restaurant evening meal and following day's breakfast were both sub standard. Macaroni sauce was lumpy and didn't taste of cheese. The breakfast cooked sausage , bacon, egg was over cooked, and could not be eaten. On getting another, it was not much better. Very disappointing. !

We had visited last year and decided to return for an overnight stay before heading to a long weekend in Oban.
