The hotel was built 30 years ago - it still has ok construction but a bit old style of 1990.

Location was good, breakfast ok, we had room for 4 people - 2 kids and 2 adults, it was big enough and comfortable. We spent time in swimming pool - we were the only. It was great. Hotel provided us with Bathrobes and slippers- but you had to ask for them.

Service at reception- unfortunately they are not digitalised. You arrived and have to write with a pen your data, with the huge disappointment that the they ask again your data on departure and invoiced is not prepared. Had to reach another department because the lady at reception never sent the invoice in the next 12 following hours. So what can I say? Am Surprised such big hotel still works in such analogical way more typical of a pension than representing a 4 start hotel nationwide.

The hotel and rooms feel a little bit dated and they were working on renovating the elevators which did not bother us at all. For the price nothing to complain about.

The hotel is located in the city of Magdeburg and has a convenient parking garage just beneath it. The hotel has a very "large and luxurious" feel about it, but in January we felt we were almost the only guests around. The suite room was very large and we found a bottle of wine, fruit and water in the room upon arrival. Friendly housekeeping staff.

There was construction work going on in the hotel so I could hear annoying drilling. The decor and appearance of the hotel is very 1990s, but the furniture is in good condition.

Excellent location next to the train station. Very helpful and attentive personnel. Excellent breakfast.

the elevator wait time is very long, especially with one of the the four out of service for three weeks at least. Also not ideal, to schedule a loud party in one of the meeting rooms going until 2am and echoing up the main atrium.

My recent stay at Maritim Hotel Magdeburg was truly delightful! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the interior, level of service and comfort this hotel provided. The room was not only spacious but also meticulously clean and well-appointed, making it a cozy and inviting retreat after a day of exploring the city. The attention to detail in room maintenance and housekeeping was commendable. The staff at Maritim Hotel Magdeburg were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any questions or requests. Their warm and welcoming demeanor added a personal touch to the experience, making me feel right at home. Although I didn't get a chance to experience the breakfast or bar facilities, I have no doubt they maintain the same high standards as the rest of the hotel. In summary, my stay at Maritim Hotel Magdeburg was a memorable and enjoyable one. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area, and I look forward to returning in the future for another wonderful stay.

The air in my room was a bit stuffy when I entered. Probably the previous tenant was smoking? not sure. I had to open the window for one hour and then it was fine.

Some of the elevators were off line and services on the weekends were limited. Entrance to the car park is tight for large cars.
