How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room was quite small and not as luxurious as hoped for the price we paid. So price/performance was our main issue here. Overall we were satisfied.
Liked the Breakfast and DInner, great Wellness. Nice personnell as well. Very relaxing environment, beautiful surroundings.

At dinner we waited 45 min without drinks, not even water, or anything to eat, not even bred. probably a mistake but it should never happen, it felt very frustrating and disappointing.

I had a gorgeous long-weekend break at this hotel. The food was all lovely, and I really enjoyed the spa facilities; very comfortable and elegant, but with a laid-back vibe. My (single) room was also much larger than I had expected, and made for a very pleasant stay. The yoga classes were wonderful and I really enjoyed the spa treatment that I went for. Would definitely come back!

Poor prior information about arrival by car - whether to go to reception or car park first, how to access car park, how to get luggage to room. Problem with access to pool - defective pass cards - not really solved to our satisfaction Poor wifi access - OK for two phones but impossible to get access with our other devices
Location, style and quality of build and comfort of facilities very good. The quality of the food - two evening meals and two breakfasts - was outstanding and would easily justify a "gourmet" description. The response of the manager to a couple of issues (below) was excellent.

Very warm welcome with a glass of sparkling wine. Very comfortable room facing the river and local landmarks. Food very good. Ate outside both evenings. Very substantial breakfast buffet. Location very good for touring the area. Plentiful parking spaces.

Friendly and helpful English speaking staff. Clean and well equipped wellness center. Delicious 4-course menu in the evening: for the main you can choose meat/fish/veggie, for dessert savory (cheese) or sweet. Free parking space under the hotel is definitely a plus.

The little things…no separate conditioner; no slippers with the robes. Had to pay 30 euro for Prosecco after spending 140 euro for private spa area. We paid 600 euro for the one night stay that included dinner and breakfast. At least include wine in the dinner.
Spa area was great. They upgraded our room to suite.

We did not stay in the main building and we had to use the path outside for going to the breakfast or the park place. It was not really nice during the rain and we had to carry out our coats even if we were just going to the breakfast room. The elevator was really poor - sometimes it worked, sometimes it did not. There was no information if the items in the minibar is included in the room rate or not. We told then that we had to check the ipad although the ipad was not working. Overall, i would not want to stay in this place again - i think it is not the best in terms of value and price.
Well, it was a nice place for sure, but i am not sure really if it is really worth to the money. The pool was not very big although accessibility to the outside was a nice plus. The breakfast was also very good. The parking space was quite big and convenient.
