Light situation - flickering in the hallways, it was really bad. I had a three small table lamps in my room because lights were not working, and only one lamp actually worked.

It's so ugly it's cute. Also very clean. The lady seems like a nice funny type, but had zero interaction with staff throughout my stay. Cozy breakfast room, breakfast is a set dish with some variety, not vegan or vegetarian friendly

Free parking, and most importantly dogs were welcome (if calm, of cause). Latest check-in was at 5 pm, but due to bad trafic we ran 30 min late. We texted 2 hours before and told them of the delay and they kindly waited for us.

We knew it wasn't located in town but there isn't a whole lot around the location. Two pizza places and ice cream shop.

The hotel rooms are comfortable and clean but sound from neighbouring rooms can be heard and may be disturbing at times. Unfortunately during this stay the restaurant was closed because of illness of staff, normally the pizza is very good and can be recommended. I know this from a different stay at this hotel.

The steep staircase, the cramped shower cubicle, and the room was quite cold despite having a radiator.

Breakfast was just ok, same thing every day. Not a buffet, just a set plate. But more than adequate. The lady in charge was entertaining with her personal musical accompaniment at breakfast. I had one evening meal in the hotel restaurant, and it was excellent. The hotel is strangely decorated and filled with bizarre ornaments, but very homely. its a way out of Bamberg but nice and quiet and on a good bus route.

As said before, other people were using our bathroom for themselves, even though it was specifically written that it's only for our room. The walls are very thin so you can hear dog barking from the other rooms and other people speaking and laughing

The room was very spacious. Even though our bathroom was separated from our room, it didn't seem to be too much of an issue, except that people from other rooms also started using it (we didn't know that we should lock it when we are not using it). The breakfast was very nice. Parking is spacious (but it can also be crowded by people visiting restaurant).

Oldish building with character. Very clean spacious room. Great pub restaurant downstairs - booked out for supper on our arrival but we had a very pleasant drink on our return that evening. City centre easily accessible on foot or by bus. Fine breakfast.

I have read that the hotel had restaurant and it had, but all tables reservated. I have planned to eat at the hotel because it was 2-3 km fra city-centrum.
