Wonderful stay at this charming hotel. Restaurant was not open for us that day but owner was very accommodating for our late arrival and gave us names of restaurants that would still be open. Hotel had parking located very close to hotel. The location was unbeatable for the price. I would love to return to Rothenburg and stay here again.

More warning about parking. It is not fun dragging suitcases uphill on cobblestone, especially if icy or snowy.

Amazing location for visiting, but beware the area is pedestrian zoned. Incredible breakfast. Great value hotel and extremely friendly staff.

There wasn't really anything I didn't like.

The location was excellent, and very easy to find while centrally located. The room was perfect for a solo traveler and was both comfortable and clean. The breakfast was also wonderful, and had a good variety of options in the buffet.

This hotel is amazing. The owner (I think she was anyway - a blonde female) had the BEST customer service skills. Genuinely friendly and helpful. Gave me a cookie as a farewell gift. The hotel is in the heart of old town but 50m down a side street so you don’t get much noise. Hotel is very clean. Breakfast is delicious with lots of selection. Good wifi. What more could you want

The warmth and professionalism of the staff. The owners’ involvement and welcoming interaction with guests. The personal touches found throughout the hotel such as a plate of cookies and candy in our room. Would give the hotel 20 stars if I could. Great location Hotel lives up to name of Hotel Sun

No lift so lots of stairs to rooms and no staff provided to haul luggage up 3 floors.

Location was amazing , just steps from the Christmas market in the center of old town. Breakfast included and was very nice.

It was rather warm the first night, but then cooled off the second night. No AC.

A beautiful location and wonderful family-owned facility. The food for dinner and breakfast are wonderful and we have a special vegan, gluten free diet. The hotel and staff are very accommodating. Note: I would have rated a 10, but the first night was warm (no AC) and the bathroom was not ventilating as it should; however, the staff fixed the ventilation issues the following day. Even without any complaints on our part. Well done, Hotel Sonne!

Lovely hotel in the heart of the city and it was quiet. The staff are very friendly, kind and helpful we had an issue with our shower and it was resolved very quickly. Beds were comfortable and as we were facing the back wall, it meant the room was quiet and it was cool. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Their restaurant looks very good and it was a shame we had already eaten before we arrived otherwise we would have eaten there.

Europe was having a heatwave, and the older buildings are not air conditioned. Even with windows open, it was hard to get airflow.
