Bath, no shower. No small refrigerator in each room. Hotel restaurant hat little choice and no kids menu. Breakfast eggs were cold.

We had two comfortable rooms. Sauna and pool (although not heated) are a plus. Very nice and quiet area.

Unfortunately, we were unable to use the sauna. During check-in we were not told that we need to pre-book it for it to be turned on and heated. That was a bit unfortunate.

Everything was very nice, comfortable and staff very friendly. We stayed for 1 night while travelling through, so cannot say much about location.

We have been visiting this hotel for years. The recent refurbishments do well to the atmosphere of the corridors and rooms. The covered car park comes handy. Nicely situated for visiting the village and the area

Swimming pool was too cold, hot tub was closed. We wanted to eat diner at the restaurant but there was nobody in the restaurant. Maybe you had to make a reservation first.

Central location, clean room, good breakfast, the staff made sure the breakfast area was tidy.

A nice hotel, quiet rooms arranged around the courtyard. Comfortable bed, air conditioning you could switch off at night and made no noise. The bath (as opposed to a shower) was a bonus. Good food and wine.

At the end of a week's holiday at more pricey accommodations, what a pleasant surprise to find the Nierstein Best Western. Great price for a very spacious, spotlessly clean, cozy room for our family. Hotel staff was very friendly, the included breakfast was great, enjoyed in the outdoor patio area. Easy on/off the highway and just down the road from Mainz. The beautiful surroundings and Rhine views in the area were an added bonus.

The pool was way too cold and the “terrace” next to it is tiny. The breakfast was good, but we had to basically “beg” to get a high chair. All In all, we have stayed at many Best Westerns that offered a better value for money.

We are still puzzled about the behavior by some of the staff members at the breakfast buffet. We arrived rather late, about 15 minutes before closing. We took scrambled eggs, coffee, yogurt, bread and cheese from the buffet and sat down and thought that we would have a relaxing start of the day. When we were about to finish our breakfast after about 30 minutes, one of the staff members repeatedly approached us in a hostile manner. First, she took a plate from our son before he was finished. A moment later she reappeared and spoke so quietly that we could not hear, when I politely begged her pardon, she yelled at us. A moment later, when we were about to leave, we found some broken glass on the floor. We tried to make her aware of that and we were yelled at once more. It was a quite shocking experience to have breakfast that morning, I have rarely been met with such hostilities in my adult life.

The location in Nierstein is excellent with lots of vineyards literally next door to the hotel. The balcony of our room had a beautiful view of grape fields. Most of the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. Being on a road trip, we had quite a lot of luggage and the staff at the front desk were really helpful to make sure that we could park our car in a safe spot and bring our things to our room.

Beautiful hotel in a lovely spot. Great swimming pool and good restaurant which was also busy with locals. Breakfast was very good too. Our room was very good, with a balcony overlooking the courtyard and outdoor eating area.

Great location if you want to get away from the city buzz. Perfect for hiking or cycling in the hills around. Even better if you are a wine lover - lots of wineries and tasting rooms. Good train connections to historical places along Rhine (such as Mainz or Worms).
